Welcome to In Store on the Shores!
In other articles, we have written extensively about The Pirate Emporium and Pets.
The Pirate Emporium
Pets in Sea of Thieves
By contrast, these “In Store on the Shores” articles are meant to be as short and sweet as your furry and feathered friends.
Each month these articles will showcase the Pirate Emporium’s latest offerings: pets, emotes, cosmetics, and likely much more!
Without further ado, here are the Pirate Emporium’s offerings for the month of September.
Pets
The Pirate Emporium is offering two ways to purchase pets: (1) individually, or (2) featured bundles. First, we’ll go over the pets individually. Then, we’ll go over the bundles.
Pets Offered Individually
Individually, pets cost 499. Currently, the Pirate Emporium offers monkeys and parrots.
Within those categories, the Pirate Emporium further offers two breeds for each. For monkeys, they have brought in Capuchins and Barbarys. For parrots, they have brought in Macaws and Parakeets.
Catering to pirate fondness for all things exotic, the Pirate Emporium offers each breed in five striking plumes and coats.
All told, the Pirate Emporium is launching with 20 pets from which to choose! Let’s meet the little scalawags…
Monkeys
Capuchins
“This nimble monkey has a mischievous disposition, so keep your coin purse tightly shut!”

Macaws
“Call this parrot ‘pretty polly’ if you want, but it’s very proud and its beak is very sharp…”

Parakeets
“This parrot is one of nature’s showoffs, known for its cheeky attitude.”
Pet Cosmetics at the Pirate Emporium
You can also buy your Pirate Pet an outfit—you know, to help them fit in with the crew.
This month at the Pirate Emporium, you can find “Sea Dog Outfits.” This is not a one-size-fits-all situation. The outfit is a little different for each breed, helping each one put its best claw or paw forward.
The Pirate Emporium’s Featured Pet Bundles
There are two featured pet bundles for this month: the “Capuchin Sea Dog Bundle,” and the “Macaw Sea Dog Bundle.”
What do the Pet Bundles Include?
This month’s bundles include a pet and a pet cosmetic—the “Sea Dog Outfit”—for your pet to wear!
The “Capuchin Sea Dog Bundle” comes with the Cloudy Capuchin and the Capuchin Sea Dog Outfit.
The “Macaw Sea Dog Bundle” comes with the Crimson Macaw and the Macaw Sea Dog Outfit.
So, although the bundles have the general titles “Capuchin” and “Macaw,” these bundles do not include any Capuchin or Macaw. These bundles include only the Cloudy Capuchin and the Crimson Macaw.
How much do the Pet Bundles Cost?
The “Capuchin Sea Dog Bundle” and the “Macaw Sea Dog Bundle” each cost 649 Ancient Coins.
Emotes at the Pirate Emporium
The Pirate Emporium is offering Pirate Emotes motes individually and as a bundle.
Pirate Emotes Sold Individually
Only two Pirate Emotes are offered individually: (1) Coin Toss Emote, and (2) Thumbs Up Emote. These retail for 149 Ancient Coin a piece.
Pirate Emotes Sold as a Bundle
This means the remaining 6 Pirate Emotes can only be purchased as part of the bundle.
As for the bundle, this month the Pirate Emporium is offering the “Emote Variety Bundle I.” This bundle will cost you 999 Ancient Coins.
“Emote Variety Bundle I” contains all 8 brand new Pirate Emotes: (1) Coin Toss Emote, (2) Thumbs Up Emote, (3) Thumbs Down Emote, (4) Blow Kiss Emote, (5) Blah Blah Emote, (6) Expressive Clap Emote, (7) Fancy Jig Emote, and (8) Relaxed Sit Emote.
All six can be seen below. Click on any image to see it a bit more closely.

Heritage Collection
The Heritage Collection this month showcases Rare’s very own Banjo-Kazooie with the Bear & Bird Ship Collection.
For fans of the Banjo-Kazooie games, it will be easy to spot all the notes, features and Jiggies that have been integrated into these elaborate ship cosmetics.
Heritage Ship Cosmetics Offered Individually
Unlike the emotes, you can purchase every single item individually. The figurehead and sails cost 599 Ancient Coins a piece. The hull, wheel, capstan, cannons, and flag each go for 349 Ancient Coins.
There are also two extra special “Collector’s Bear & Bird Figurehead” and “Collector’s Bear and Bird Sails.” The figurehead’s eyes glow blue in the dark! Beautiful as they are, these will each cost you an additional 799 Ancient Coins.
Alternatively, you can buy the Bear & Bird Ship Bundle which will get you all but two Bear and Bird ship cosmetics.

The Heritage Ship Cosmetics Bundle
Since none of the ship items are exclusive to the bundle, you do not need to buy the bundle to get any particular item. However, if you plan on purchasing the entire ship set, purchasing the set as a bundle could save you a bit of coin.
The “Bear & Bird Ship Bundle” includes every single “Bear & Bird” ship cosmetic, except the two “Collector’s” items.
Buying each item individually would cost you a total of 2,943 Ancient Coins. By contrast, the bundle will only cost you 2,499 Ancient Coins. Thus, the bundle saves you a healthy sum of 444 Ancient Coins.
Are these Pirate Emporium Items Time Limited?
Yes and no.
Some items are expressly time limited. Time-limited items have a little clock symbol in the upper right-hand corner of their image.
In the image below, you can see this symbol on three of the four bundles: the “Capuchin Sea Dog Bundle,” the “Macaw Sea Dog Bundle,” and the “Bear & Bird Sea Dog Bundle.”
As we understand it, this “time-limited” symbol indicates that the offering will no longer be available after the next update. In this instance, this would mean these bundles are no longer available after October 9th.
However—even if the bundles are not available—the individual items in these bundles will be available as individual purchases.
Even if an item is not currently time-limited, this does not mean it won’t be time-limited in the future, as Rare plans to rotate items in and out.
However—never fear—Rare has assured us all that if they plan to remove something from the store, they will give us a heads up.
So, in future editions of “In Store on the Shores,” we will not only be announcing the Pirate Emporium’s newest arrivals. We will also be highlighting any items that might be leaving the Pirate Emporium soon.
Theoretically, this means October 9th would be the next update—hence the article’s title.
That being said, “life happens” for developers as well as the rest of us mere mortals. So, there’s always a chance the update could occur at a later date.
We’d be quite surprised if the update ever occurred before Rare’s intended deadline. However—if you have your heart set on a time-limited item—we’d advise buying it well before October 9th!
What’s Next?
Oh, it is far too soon to speculate! It is not too soon, however, to be slap happy with excitement for all that is yet to come!
Rest assured: we will let you know as soon as possible.
