Starting May 11th, pirates everywhere will be racing to be the first to finish a mysterious treasure hunt, The Hoarder’s Hunt! With a one-of-a-kind replica Gold Hoarder skull made from real gold up for grabs, it will be a hunt for the ages! Luckily, any pirate, whether new to the Sea of Thieves or a Pirate Legend, can participate and compete!
How to start The Hoarder's Hunt Mystery
To start The Hoarder’s Hunt Mystery, visit the official Sea of Thieves website on Thursday, May 11th at 4 pm UTC. Once there, sign up, agree to the terms and conditions, and you will find the first Puzzle! This Puzzle will start the first stage of the Mystery: Skin of Gold.
You must use your wits and master sleuthing skills to scour the internet to solve the first Puzzle. Solving the Puzzle will lead you to a keyword you must submit to the Sea of Thieves website.
If the keyword is correct, it will unlock access to an in-game Voyage you can collect from Larinna at any Outpost. Once you have the Voyage, you must complete it to finish the first stage of the Mystery. The second stage starts on May 18th, but you must finish the first stage before beginning the second.
It is important to note that the Mystery is designed to be challenging and will require persistence and determination to solve. While you can work together and share clues to increase your chances, some pirates will tackle it alone, as only one person can win the grand prize! However, no matter how you solve the treasure hunt, you can expect an immersive and rewarding experience!

The first Puzzle and voyage are available for everyone to solve! To complete the Puzzle, you must hunt for a unique keyword and submit it to the official Sea of Thieves website.
