So, you’ve completed the Puzzle and are ready for the second part of the Skin of Gold stage of the Mystery: The Hunt for the Plated Silver Key voyage! The Hunt for the Plated Silver Key is a time-limited, multi-chapter voyage that will have you sailing through The Shores of Plenty, solving riddles from a Mysterious Journal.
If you can solve the riddles and complete the voyage, you will find the Plated Silver Key, unlock the ‘Silver Hoarder’ Title, and complete the first stage of The Hoarder’s Hunt Mystery!
The Hunt for the Plated Silver Key Voyage: Step by Step
Step 1: Claim the Voyage from Larinna
After completing the Skin of Gold Puzzle and submitting the correct keyword to the official Sea of Thieves website, you can claim The Hunt for the Plated Silver Key Voyage from Larinna. You can find Larinna at any active Outpost across the Sea of Thieves.
Once you find her, speak with her and browse her stock. Choose The Hunt for the Plated Silver Key and purchase it for 0 Gold. With the voyage in your inventory, you are ready to embark on this mysterious voyage!
You can purchase this voyage as many times as you like throughout the Mystery, so don’t worry if you need to try it more than once.
Step 2: Start Voyage from Captain's Table
Head to your ship’s Captain’s Table and propose the voyage. You’ll receive a Mysterious Treasure Map in your Quest Radial as soon you vote to start it.
Open up your Quest Radial and select the map. It will be an X Marks the Spot map for an island nearby with one X. Once you figure out which island the map is for, sail over to the island to dig at the X!
Step 3: Sail to X Marks the Spot island
Once on the island, head to the area with the X and dig. You’ll need to be precise to find the exact spot!
When you’ve dug in the correct spot, you’ll uncover a Mysterious Journal. You will add it to your Quest Radial as soon as you pick it up. Open up the Mysterious Journal and read through the pages. You’ll see you have a riddle to solve!
Turn to page four and take note of the following sentence: “Nicely CURVED this island is. A cave dead at its heart.” The words “curved” and “cave” are your first clues to the island you seek. Flip to the next page for more clues!
The island you are looking for is 10 or 11 squares on the Map Table West of the center. The center of the map is around the map coordinates M11. So, scan 10 or 11 squares to the West of those coordinates on your Map Table, and you will be around Imperial Crown Fortress.
Reading more on the page, you will learn that the island you seek is two squares below a SHOP and two squares above a FORTRESS. Scanning around this area on your Map Table, you’ll see that Crescent Isle is above Imperial Crown Fortress and below The Spoils of Plenty Store.
Crescent Isle is also curved, with a cave in the middle! With your heading found, set sail for Crescent Isle!
Step 4: Sail to Crescent Isle
Once on Crescent Isle, open up the Mysterious Journal and carefully read page eight. You’ll read about a grassy stone, a fern, and the top of a cave entrance.
“Seek OUTSIDE some IVY forked atop an ENTRANCE to this cave.
ABOVE that, on a grassy stone a fern marks this clue’s grave.”
These clues direct you to the grassy rocks directly above the cave entrance on the island’s East side.
Head up above the cave and equip your shovel. Dig on the grassy stones by the fern above the cave entrance, and you’ll discover some Missing Pages. You’ll add the pages to your Mysterious Journal as soon as you pick them up.

Missing Pages on Crescent Isle
Open up the Mysterious Journal and read the Missing Pages near the end of the journal. Read the first missing page to find two clues. The first clue mentions lights of green and blue along the beach below. The second clue talks about a type of deck that will not pitch nor skew.
These two clues refer to the lanterns and the dock on the island’s Northside. Head there and walk to the end of the dock.
Equip the Mysterious Journal again and flip to the next missing page. The next clue mentions the RUNGS point the way. The RUNGS refer to the ladder on the North East side of the dock. So, face North by North East and equip your spyglass. Next, look for a small island with four trees in the distance with your spyglass. This island, Rapier Cay, is your next destination!
Step 5: Sail to Rapier Cay
Sail to Rapier Cay and equip the Mysterious Journal. We are on to the next set of clues wooden drums that never played a beat with a rock at their feet. The wooden drums are Resource Barrels. There are two groups of Resource Barrels, one near metal pots and one near a rock.
Go to the Resource Barrels near the rock and read the following clues, directing you to turn around and look for a mast that never leaves the dock. With your spyglass, you should see Sanctuary Outpost and the giant mast for the Sovereign tent.
Step 6: Sail to Sanctuary Outpost
Once on Sanctuary Outpost, head to the Sovereign tent. When you get inside, turn around and face East toward the stairs. Stand between the two lanterns on either side of the stairs, equip your spyglass, and look between the two small posts in the dock. If you are in the correct position, you should spot Lonely Isle, your next island.
Step 7: Sail to Lonely Isle
Once on Lonely Isle, equip your Mysterious Journal again and read the Missing Pages you found on Crescent Isle. Take note of the following clue from the pages:
“For under leaves you’ll find a FALLEN STAR.”
The fallen star refers to the lantern lying on the Northern beach by some Resource Barrels. Once you find the lantern, equip your shovel and dig. You will discover more Missing Pages.

Missing Pages on Lonely Isle
You’ll need to follow the next clues from the Missing Pages you found to find the next island. Standing on the island, face South and look for the giant rocks in the water leading East to the tower the Missing Pages mention. The tower the journal is referencing is at Hidden Spring Keep.
Step 8: Sail to Hidden Spring Keep
Once at Hidden Spring Keep, climb up to the wooden building on the fort. You are looking for a SHIP’S WOODEN POINT. Once inside the building, you’ll find a broken mast jammed into the wooden tower. Make your way to the very top of the building, and you’ll find the crosspiece of the mast pointing North by North West to Lone Cove. With the final island in sight, set sail for it!
Step 9: Sail to Lone Cove
Again, you’ll be digging on Lone Cove, but this time you’ll uncover a Treasure Chest with the Plated Silver Key inside! Open up the Mysterious Journal and read the last Missing Pages. While you can follow the steps to the chest’s location, the most essential piece to note is the clue about the tallest tree.
Head to the tallest tree on the island, just North of the large central rock, to dig up the chest. The tallest tree is by the camp with the Ammo Crate and hammock. Dig up the chest, and inside, you’ll find the key!
As soon as you dig up the chest, you will complete the voyage, unlock the ‘Silver Hoarder’ Title, and complete the first stage of the Mystery!
Make sure to sell the key to the Gold Hoarders for extra gold!

Plated Silver Key on Lone Cove
After completing the voyage the title wasn’t recieved by multiple people. Luckly the voyage completion registers on sea of thieves website, so rare will know who to give the title.
Dug everywhere on crescent idle and havent found the missing pages
It’s supposed to be right above the entrance to the cave. Near the edge above the water. There’s a green plant near it.
Happened to me too, just keep trying
What do we need to do after completing this voyage?
Just wait until the next stage unlocks.
Could you guys do something like uploading the images of the book?
I’m brazilian and my game is translated to portuguese, and so are the riddles. But it looks like some words just don’t fit when they are translated. I’d like to read the riddles in english, so I can enjoy the hunt without the need of the spoilers.
