So, you’ve completed Puzzle 2 and are ready for the next part of the A Feathered Fortune stage of the Mystery: The Hunt for the Argent Silver Key voyage! The Hunt for the Argent Silver Key is a time-limited, multi-chapter voyage that will have you sailing through The Ancient Isles, solving riddles from a Mysterious Journal.

If you can solve the riddles and complete the voyage, you will find the Argent Silver Key and complete the second stage of The Hoarder’s Hunt Mystery!

The Hunt for the Argent Silver Key Voyage: Step by Step

Step 1: Claim the Voyage from Larinna

After completing the A Feathered Fortune Puzzle and submitting the correct keyword to the official Sea of Thieves website, you can claim The Hunt for the Argent Silver Key Voyage from Larinna. You can find Larinna at any active Outpost across the Sea of Thieves.

Once you find her, speak with her and browse her stock. Choose The Hunt for the Argent Silver Key and purchase it for 0 Gold. With the voyage in your inventory, you are ready to embark on this mysterious voyage!

You can purchase this voyage as many times as you like throughout the Mystery, so don’t worry if you need to try it more than once.

Step 2: Start Voyage from Captain's Table

Head to your ship’s Captain’s Table and propose the voyage. You’ll receive a Mysterious Treasure Map in your Quest Radial as soon you vote to start it.

Open up your Quest Radial and select the map. It will be an X Marks the Spot map for an island nearby with one X. Once you figure out which island the map is for, sail over to the island to dig at the X!

Step 3: Sail to X Marks the Spot island

Once on the island, head to the area with the X and dig. You’ll need to be precise to find the exact spot!

When you’ve dug in the correct spot, you’ll uncover a Mysterious Journal. You will add it to your Quest Radial as soon as you pick it up. Open up the Mysterious Journal and read through the pages. You’ll see you have a riddle to solve!

Mysterious Journal

Turn to pages three and four to start deciphering the riddle. You’ll find a big clue in the sentence about the isle lying on an arch between Two Forts of AGES PAST, with AGES PAST referring to Ancient. That clue and the clue about sailing South is a good indicator we are looking for an island in The Ancient Isle region.

Another clue mentions that the island is pear-shaped. While Lookout Point and Paradise Spring are pear-shaped islands in The Ancient Isle, Lookout Point is further South near the edge of the map, so that’s where you’ll sail to!

Step 4: Sail to Lookout Point

Once on the island, read the clues on the following pages. They will have you heading up to the West side of the island. Once you’ve walked up the path, look for a stool, a broken wagon, and a bird cage. Dig near there to discover Missing Pages. You’ll add the pages to your Mysterious Journal as soon as you pick them up.

Open up the Mysterious Journal and read the Missing Pages near the end of the journal. Take note of the sentence that mentions the beach and a green-trimmed boat pointing the way. The pages refer to the rowboat on the South beach pointing West. A much larger island West of Lookout Point is Shark Bait Cove, your next destination!

Step 5: Sail to Shark Bait Cove

Sail to Shark Bait Cove and dock near the Southwest beach. As the missing pages mention, this is your starting point. However, you’ll first need to swim through the rock hole with one torch to the South to reach inland of the island.

Rock hole

Once you’ve swum through, equip your Spyglass and look North by North West for the two tall torches in the trees. They will be on the other side of the island.

Run to them and look for a post with three lights nearby. The post with the lights will be on a forked dirt path with one path heading North by North West to the sea.

As the pages suggest, take the North by North West path, and you’ll eventually come to two torches that point toward the LARGE torch on The Finest Trading Post.

Step 6: Sail to The Finest Trading Post

Once on the Seapost, equip your Mysterious Journal and read the second to last missing page. You are looking for THREE votes that point the way. The three votes the journal is referring to are the three votes in the Quest Board. The daggers in the board POINT the way to Old Salts Atoll.

Step 7: Sail to Old Salts Atoll

Once on Old Salts Atoll, equip your Mysterious Journal and read the last missing page. The sentence about the eyes of stone refers to the large stone heads on the island. Each one faces inward and looks at the bowl-shaped rock in the middle of the island. Dig near the stone bowl, and you’ll find more Missing Pages.

You’ll need to follow the next clues from the Missing Pages you found to find the next island.

Still, on Old Salts Atoll, make your way up to the Captain’s Cabin of the shipwreck like the first page of the latest missing pages suggests. Once inside, equip your spyglass and look through the hole in the wall between the ropes and hanging lantern. You will see Plunder Valley waiting for you!

Step 8: Sail to Plunder Valley

Set sail for Plunder Valley and park on the Southwest beach. Following the clues, you’ll go through the tunnel below the waterfall, to the North West beach, up three ladders, and to the beacon (A CAGE FOR WOOD) at the island’s top!

Once you reach the beacon, equip your Spyglass and look down to the North for Resource Barrels (drums). You are specifically looking for two Resource Barrels, one standing UP and one standing DOWN on its side. You’ll spot these particular Resource Barrels on the island’s Northside.

Plunder Valley two drums

Once you’ve spotted the Resource Barrels, head North to reach them. You’ll find the two Resource Barrels (one standing up and one on its side) next to a wooden box with plates and pots inside and a campsite. Dig next to the two Resource Barrels to find the Collector’s Chest.

As soon as you dig up the chest, you will complete the voyage and complete the second stage of the Mystery!

Make sure to sell the key to the Gold Hoarders for extra gold!

    1. Basically, you can just skip those steps, and sail straight to Old Salts Atoll to dig up the last of the pages. Then sail to Plunder Valley and dig up the chest at the location. The other steps are if you are following the clues, but you don’t have to do them.
