Captain Flameheart continues to expand his legion of unyielding followers. From reviving the Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons forgotten on islands to breaking the seals on Reaper’s Chests, his army grows stronger by the day. However, with the help of an enchanted Lantern, he can now use the Chest of Bones to further his reach across the Sea of Thieves!
Chest of Bones
A Chest of Bones is a less powerful variant of the Reaper’s Chest. You can still sell it to the Reaper’s Bones for Gold and Reputation. However, it does not emit a beacon for everyone to see. You and other pirates sailing the sea can only track it on the Map Table by following its unique marker.
The Chest of Bones also summons fewer Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons compared to a Reaper’s Chest. It also doesn’t summon any Captain Skeletons like the Reaper’s Chest does.
Unlike Reaper’s Chests, you cannot find them in shipwrecks or inside the Fort of the Damned. You can only get a Chest of Bones from the Followers of the Flame Voyage.
Where can you sell Chests of Bones?
You can only sell Chests of Bones to the Reaper’s Bones on The Reaper’s Hideout. A Chest of Bones is worth 8,500 Gold.
