The Fate of the Damned update has not only brought with it a month-long Festival of the Damned celebration, but one of the coolest looking cosmetic sets to hit the Sea of Thieves.
The Soulflame Crew Set is a brand new cosmetic set that showcases a unique feature. The owner of the Soulflame Crew Set is not the only one that can access the costumes upon purchase.
A crew member that owns the costume set can share it with their entire crew. All crew members will automatically find the First, Second, and Third Crewmate Costume in their Clothing Chest when a Pirate Legend who owns the set is present in the crew.
As one might expect, the pirate who purchased the Soulflame Crew Set has the Soulflame Captain Costume reserved for themselves.
You have until December 9th, 2020 to unlock the new set of costumes. After December 9th, all Soulflame cosmetics will move to the Pirate Legend Hideout.
How to get the Soulflame Crew Set
Two requirements must be met before you can unlock the Soulflame Crew Set for purchase. The first is you must be a Pirate Legend. The second is you must complete all Fated Fortune Challenges.
You’ll want to be a Pirate Legend first before you set off on completing the Fated Fortune Challenges required to unlock the Soulflame Crew Set.
If you are not a Pirate Legend yet, you should feel confident you can unlock Pirate Legend before December 9th. December 9th is when the Soulflame Crew Set will move from the Black Market to the Pirate Legend Hideout. We don’t know yet how it will be unlocked in the future or how much it will cost after the move.
If you are looking to achieve Pirate Legend status before December 9th, you will want to take advantage of the Trading Company Emissary system. If you are unfamiliar with Emissaries, you can check out our Trading Company Emissary guide here.
Utilizing the Trading Company Emissary system will help you reach your goal of hitting Pirate Legend much quicker. While sailing as an Emissary you can build up a reputation multiplier making every piece of treasure you turn in to a Trading Company worth more towards your progress.
If you are a Pirate Legend already or on your way, then you can now look towards those Fated Fortune Challenges.
Fated Fortune Challenges
There are a total of four Fated Fortune Challenges that you will need to complete before you can unlock the Soulflame Crew Set. Each challenge has six goals. Once all six goals for a challenge have been achieved, the challenge will be completed.
We have guides below that will walk you through how to complete each of the four challenges. Following along will have you completing every goal necessary to ultimately complete every Fated Fortune Challenge.
The challenges will no longer be available to complete after December 9th.
