One of the many puzzles you’ll need to solve during The Journey to Mêlée Island Tall Tale is unlocking the Clock Tower. To do so, you’ll need to acquire the Clock Tower Key, which a Thirsty Pirate in the Scumm Bar is guarding closely. While it might sound like a difficult task to steal the key, it’s nothing a simple disguise and a few extra tankards of grog won’t solve!
Where is the Clock Tower Key
From speaking to the pirates around Mêlée island, you’ll learn that a pirate in the Scumm Bar has the Clock Tower Key. He won’t let it go under any circumstance, so you’ll need to steal it from him.
You must first purchase the Chef’s Uniform to steal the Clock Tower Key from the Thirsty Pirate. With the Chef’s Uniform equipped, you can go into the Kitchen and refill your Tankard with Extra-Potent Grog. Don’t drink this yourself! You must save it for the Thirsty Pirate holding the Clock Tower Key.
Approach the Thirsty Pirate with the key and pour him the Extra-Potent Grog three times. He will eventually pass out, allowing you to steal the key!
With the Clock Tower Key in hand, you can open the door below the Clock Tower to gain access. Once inside the Clock Tower, you can repair and set the clock to midnight which you’ll need to do to complete the Tall Tale.
