Twenty-five years ago, a crew of pioneers set sail to explore far-off shores. You can commemorate that fateful voyage by adorning the Original Outset Sails. You can’t acquire these sails with your Gold or Doubloons. Instead, you’ll need to trade in Microsoft Rewards points!
Original Outset Sails
The Original Outset Sails are a standalone sail cosmetic that you earn as a bonus gift when you redeem Microsoft Rewards points for a Sea of Thieves Ancient Coin pack. You can’t purchase them from any in-game shop. You can only add them to your Ship Customization Chest through Microsoft Rewards.
You have until December 31st, 2026, or while supplies last, to redeem your Ancient Coin pack and receive the sails.
Unlike the Cerulean Sheen Cutlass, the sails cost Microsoft Rewards points. You spend points on an Ancient Coin pack, and the sails arrive as a bonus code alongside the coins. Any of the three pack sizes qualifies, so the smallest pack is the cheapest route to the sails.
You can buy Ancient Coin packs multiple times, but the sails unlock only once per account. A second pack gets you more coins and nothing else.
Make sure you are logged into Microsoft Rewards with the same account you use for Sea of Thieves. If your accounts don’t match, you won’t receive the Ancient Coins or sails.
If you don’t see the Outsetter’s Ancient Coin Pack in your Dashboard, it might not be available in your region.
