One of the many puzzles you’ll need to solve during The Journey to Mêlée Island Tall Tale is how to free Otis. To free Otis, you must get the pair of Gunpowder Gummies from Walt and Gunpowder Fuses.
However, Walt, one of the Ghost Pirate guards in the Alley, is guarding them. To get rid of Walt and acquire his Gunpowder Gummies, you must empower the nearby piranha poodles to turn on him!
What do you do with the Root Beer Stewed Meat?
You can use the Root Beer Stewed Meat to get the Gunpowder Gummies.
Once you’ve cooked the Root Beer Stewed Meat, pick it up and carry it to the Alley. If you haven’t been to the Alley before, you can find it between the General Store and Church. Head to the back of the Alley, and you’ll find Walt with the piranha poodles.
In front of the poodles is an empty food bowl. Place the Root Beer Stewed Meat in the bowl, and the poodles will start to eat it. After the poodles finish devouring the meat, they will have the power and courage to take on Walt and get rid of him.
With Walt out of the way, you can pick up his Pieces o’ Eight Pouch and the Gunpowder Gummies. Now you can use the Gunpowder Gummies to blast open the jail cell doors and free Otis!
