Golden Sands Outpost has a vibrant history in the Sea of Thieves. Initially, Golden Sands was one of the most beloved Outposts in the sea with its lush vegetation and golden beaches. But, unfortunately, its popularity led Captain Flameheart and his servants to attack the Outpost, leaving it in ruins!
Luckily, Merrick and others who wished to see the Outpost prevail won the battle, and New Golden Sands rose from the Outpost’s ashes. However, while the fight for the Outpost was over, there was still plenty of work left to do.
With its reconstruction finally complete, the residents of the Outpost have decided to rename the Outpost in Merrick’s honor to Port Merrick!
Port Merrick
Port Merrick is not like any other Outpost in the Sea of Thieves. This Outpost is a proper port built from mortar and stone rather than wood and nails. So you can expect every aspect of the port to be bigger, stronger, and more refined!
The residents that reside at the port have also expanded their respective dwellings. Each shopkeeper has a storefront in a large stone building by the Tavern, and every Trading Company has a dedicated stone building instead of a hut on the beach.
You’ll also find fountains, gardens, and scenic spots to sit scattered throughout the port.
You can easily spot the port on the horizon thanks to two prominent landmarks you can see from miles away. These structures are the giant lighthouse and the Sovereign Tower, which overlook each side of Port Merrick.
Port Merrick is at the map coordinates D10 in The Shores of Plenty.
