One of the many puzzles you must solve during The Quest for Guybrush Tall Tale is how to get fired from your new job. Luckily, this is one of the easier puzzles in the Tall Tale. You just need to find your boss and speak to them to get fired.

If you don’t remember what job it is you have, then it should make sense why your boss it firing you. However, if you do remember, you’ll want to head to the Kitchen in the Scumm Bar immediately!

How to get fired from your new job

You simply need to speak with Scumm Bar Chef to get fired from your new job. You can find him in the Kitchen of the Scumm Bar. Once you approach the Chef, interact with him, and he will turn around and start his tirade. He will give you a list of reasons why you are terrible at your job before finally firing you. You will unlock the ‘Gainful Unpemloyment’ commendation as soon as you get fired.

Now that Scumm Bar Chef has fired you, you can continue your Tall Tale guilt-free without worrying about your responsibilities as a Chef’s assistant.

You can talk to the Chef and get fired at any point during the Tall Tale. Just make sure you speak to him before leaving the island.
