Jot down yer email, and we’ll be sure to let ye know when there’s something new on the horizon.

Tasha, the Ancient Spire tavern keeper, appears to be inflicted by the same wicked curse that overcame the infamous Captain Briggsy. Luckily for Tasha, the founder of the Order of Souls, Madame Olivia, has offered her assistance. However, before Madame Olivia can help, she needs several artifacts belonging to Briggsy. That’s where you come in!

Briggsy left Tasha a book containing a treasure hunt. Using the book, you must recover Briggsy’s belongings and bring them back to Madame Olivia. Like Briggsy’s skull, Madame Olivia hopes to use the belongings in a ritual to reveal any clues for a cure!

If you want to help Tasha, you’ll want to start The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure as soon as possible. Tasha’s life is in your hands!

If you want to catch up on Briggsy’s story so far, you’ll want to check out The Cursed Rogue and The Legendary Storyteller Tall Tales first!

How to complete The Rogue's Legacy Adventure

To complete The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure, you must recover and deliver three artifacts to Madame Olivia. After Madame Olivia performs a ritual with the artifacts, you will complete the Adventure and unlock Tasha’s Enchanted Compass.

To earn The Rogue’s Apprentice title, you’ll need to complete all 12 Deeds for the Adventure. You can see the 12 Deeds and your progress toward them in the Adventure Tab.

There are no Checkpoints for this Adventure, so you’ll need to complete each Chapter in one session.

The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure will be available to all pirates from December 8th to December 22nd, 2022. Unfortunately, after December 22nd, you will not be able to partake in the Adventure and earn the two Mementos.

The Rogue's Legacy: Step by Step

Step 1: Start The Rogue's Legacy Adventure

To start The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure, you’ll need to speak to Larinna at any active Outpost across the Sea of Thieves. You can find her just outside the Tavern.

Once you have found Larinna, speak with her. You’ll see several different dialogue options you can select. Choose the last option, BEGIN ADVENTURE, to let her know you want to help Madame Olivia at Plunder Outpost.

It’s important to note that you cannot start the Adventure if you are actively doing a Tall Tale. You can also cancel the Adventure if you need to via your ship’s Voyage Table like you would a voyage or Tall Tale.

As soon as you choose the BEGIN ADVENTURE option, you will begin Chapter One of the Adventure!

BEGIN ADVENTURE

Step 2: Speak with Madame Olivia

With the Adventure underway, sail to Plunder Outpost. Once on the island, head over to the Order of Souls tent. You’ll find both Madame Olivia and Tasha inside. Speak with Madame Olivia and choose the CONTINUE ADVENTURE option to continue.

After Madame Olivia fills you in on what is happening, she will give you Tasha’s Lessons on Becoming an Adventurer book, Tasha’s Enchanted Compass, and a Checklist.

Quest Radial

To save Tasha, you’ll need to solve the lessons from the book to find the artifacts that Madame Olivia needs. However, if you equip and flip through the book, you’ll notice that crucial pages are missing!

As the Checklist suggests, we’ll first need to defeat several of Briggsy’s ‘teacher’ Skeletons and recover their keys. Briggsy’s ‘teacher’ Skeletons are unique Skeleton Captains that will drop a key and a missing clue page from the book upon defeat. You can quickly identify them by the orange title above their head with the word ‘Briggsy’ in it.

Once you have acquired the keys and the missing pages, you’ll be able to solve the lessons and find the artifacts.

So how do we find the Skeleton Captains with the keys? That’s where Tasha’s Enchanted Compass comes into play. Equip Tasha’s Enchanted Compass from your Quest Radial. Like other Enchanted Compasses, this compass will always point you in the direction you need to go. In this case, Tasha’s Enchanted Compass will direct you to the Skeleton Captains guarding the keys!

Tasha's Enchanted Compass

Step 3: Recover first key

With Tasha’s Enchanted Compass equipped, follow it to the island it directs you to. During our playthrough, the compass led us to Shipwreck Bay. Remember, the shorter and quicker the needle sways, the closer you are to the Skeleton Captain with the key.

Once you’ve arrived at the island, hop off and follow the compass to the exact location of the Skeleton Captain. You’ll know you are close when you hear Order of Souls Bounty Voyage music. When you locate the Skeleton Captain, you’ll discover they are guarded by several skeletons, all wearing bandanas.

Briggsy's Location Lesson-Teacher

Dispatch the skeletons and then kill the Skeleton Captain. Upon death, the Skeleton Captain will drop Briggsy’s Key of Location and Briggsy’s Clue Page.

Picking up the missing clue page will automatically add it to your book. After you’ve collected the page, take the key back to your ship for safekeeping. You’ll need to hold onto this key until you find its corresponding chest later in the Adventure.

With one key recovered, it’s on to the next! Equip Tasha’s Enchanted Compass again and follow its needle to your next island!

Briggsy's Key of Location

Step 4: Recover second key

With Tasha’s Enchanted Compass equipped, follow it to the next island it points you to. During our playthrough, the compass led us to the Uncharted Island at K9 next.

Once you’ve arrived at the island, hop off and keep following the compass to the exact location of the Skeleton Captain and their guards. Defeat the skeletons and the Skeleton Captain to recover Briggsy’s Key of Inspiration and another Briggsy’s Clue Page.

Pick up the missing clue page and take the key back to your ship. You are now ready to recover the last key. Equip Tasha’s Enchanted Compass and follow the needle!

Briggsy's Key of Inspiration

Step 5: Recover third key

With Tasha’s Enchanted Compass equipped, follow it to the final island it leads you to. During our playthrough, the compass led us to The Sunken Grove.

Once you’ve arrived at the island, hop off and continue to follow the compass to the exact location of the Skeleton Captain. Vanquish the skeletons and the Skeleton Captain to recover Briggsy’s Key of History and another Briggsy’s Clue Page.

Pick up the last page and take the key back to your ship. With every missing page and key collected, you can now start to solve the lessons from the book!

However, before you start solving the lessons, you should head to Old Faithful Isle and Marauder’s Arch to read the journals there. You won’t be this far North again during the Adventure, so now would be a good time to grab them. If you are worried about losing your keys, you can read them later after you’ve completed the Adventure.

Briggsy's Key of History

Dark Brethren Journals on Old Faithful

There are two Dark Brethren journals on Old Faithful Isle. Finding the journals is more manageable than usual, as you can find them in the few spots of lush vegetation scattered around the island.

The first journal is near the tale of the shark painted high up on the island on the South side.

See exactly where the journal is on your map:
Amaranta’s Secret Journal on Old Faithful Isle

The second journal is near the highest watchtower at the island’s center.

Dark Brethren Journals on Marauder's Arch

There are two more Dark Brethren journals on Marauder’s Arch. Again, look for the areas of lush vegetation scattered around the island to find the journals quickly.

The first journal is near the jaws of the sea beast on the North West beach.

Warsmith’s Secret Journal on Marauder’s Arch

The second journal is just past the arch as you reach the island’s highest point.

Step 6: Complete Lesson One and recover Briggsy's Chest of History

Thanks to the missing clue page you recovered, you now know that Lesson One, Dig Into History, takes place on The Crooked Masts. Once there, you’ll need to dig up Briggsy’s Chest of History, which will be in front of one of the four landmarks on pages five and six of the book. You’ll also find two more journals to read here!

Lesson One

Once on the island, find the dead tree from page five below the bridge. It is in the middle of the island. Dig in front of it to see if the chest is there.

Lesson One

If not, find the white flag from page five up high to the South of the island. Dig in front of it to see if the chest is there.

Lesson One

If you strike out again, find the tale of the storm rock painting from page six on the North East side of the island. Then, dig in front of the rock painting to see if the chest is there.

Lesson One

If you still haven’t found the chest, there is only one more place it can be! Find the bell from page six on the South East side of the island and dig in front of it to find your chest.

Lesson One

With Briggsy’s Chest of History found, take it back to your ship and use Briggsy’s Key of History to open it. Inside you’ll find the first artifact, the Ancient Tablet.

With Lesson One complete, it’s time to solve Lesson Two! But before you go, make sure you read the two journals here!

Dark Brethren Journals on The Crooked Masts

There are another two Dark Brethren journals on The Crooked Masts. As before, you can find them in the spots of lush vegetation scattered around the island.

The first journal is near the tale of the storm painted on the North rocks.

See exactly where the journal is on your map:
Warsmith’s Secret Journal on The Crooked Masts

The second journal is by the three painted tentacles on the island’s South side.

Step 7: Complete Lesson Two and recover Briggsy's Chest of Inspiration

The missing clue page for Lesson Two, Be Inspired, doesn’t give you the island name this time. So instead, you’ll need to solve the riddle on the clue page, page 12, to find the island.

The clue page mentions playing dice at Galleon’s Grave and sailing to Kraken’s Fall. Somewhere in the middle of the two is the buried chest. Looking at your Map Table, you’ll see the only island directly between Galleon’s Grave and Kraken’s Fall is Tri-Rock Isle.

Lesson Two

Once on Tri-Rock Isle, inspect the sketch of the rock and palm tree on page 11. This sketch matches an actual landmark on the island. Once you find the location depicted in the drawing, dig in front of it, and you’ll discover Briggsy’s Chest of Inspiration.

Use Briggsy’s Key of Inspiration to open the chest and recover the second artifact, Briggsy’s Dice.

Two lessons down, one to go!

Lesson Two

Step 8: Complete Lesson Three and recover Briggsy's Chest of Location

To complete Lesson Three, Look for Landmarks, you’ll need to solve the puzzle on the island depicted on page 15, Kraken’s Fall. You’ll dig near a Kraken skeleton to find the chest, but which one?

Your first clue is that only one of the monsters is skewered, like a figurehead! For those unfamiliar with Kraken’s Fall, you can find a Kraken skull mounted on a shipwreck on the North West beach.

Lesson Three

Stand beneath the Kraken skull skewered by the shipwreck. As the clue page says, you must turn due South and walk a bit to hold the treasure in the two palms.

So, face South and walk towards the two closest palm trees. Dig near them, and you will recover Briggsy’s Chest of Location. Take the chest back to your ship and open it with Briggsy’s Key of Location. Inside, you’ll find the last artifact, the Evil Eye!

With all three artifacts recovered, you can bring them back to Madame Olivia.

Lesson Three

Dark Brethren Journals on Kraken's Fall

You’ll find the last two Dark Brethren journals on Kraken’s Fall. As you might have guessed, you can find them in the locations of lush vegetation scattered around the island.

The first journal is near the monstrous jaw on the South West shore.

See exactly where the journal is on your map:
Duke’s Secret Journal on Kraken’s Fall

The second journal is by the highest tree on the South side of the island.

Step 9: Bring artifacts to Madame Olivia

Sail back to Plunder Outpost to deliver the artifacts to Madame Olivia. Once you deliver all three, speak with Madame Olivia to complete the Adventure.

The Rogue's Legacy Deeds

The Deeds for The Rogue’s Legacy Adventure are more straightforward, and you will most likely unlock them all after only doing the Adventure once.

The Deeds you must complete to unlock the ‘The Rogue’s Apprentice’ title are:

  • Speak with Madame Olivia
  • Find Briggsy’s missing clue page for Lesson One
  • Uncover the missing clue page for Lesson Two
  • Locate the third missing page from Briggsy’s book for Tasha
  • Dig Up Briggsy’s Chest of History
  • Dig Up Briggsy’s Chest of Inspiration
  • Dig Up Briggsy’s Chest of Location
  • Take the Ancient Tablet to Madame Olivia
  • Deliver Briggsy’s Dice Box to Madame Olivia
  • Return the Evil Eye to Madame Olivia
  • Read All the Dark Brethren’s Lore Books
  • Complete the Rogue’s Legacy Adventure
