The Dark Fortress Raids make a fearsome return with the Bilge Rats Weekender! You can expect to vanquish Phantoms, scuttle Ghost Ships, and plunder Sea Forts brimming with treasure during the treacherous Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage! But that’s not all! As with all Bilge Rats Weekender returning Live Events, you can also earn Doubloons!

What is the Dark Fortress Raids Event?

During Dark Fortress Raids, you can embark on a time-limited Voyage, A Raid on a Dark Fortress. The Voyage is a more challenging variant of the Raid of a Sea Fort, with Ghost Ships and a Phantom Jailor to defeat. Due to the heightened difficulty, you can collect more than 100,000 Gold worth of treasure.

On top of the piles of loot you can find inside Sea Forts during the Event, you can also earn 300 Doubloons for completing two related Event Goals. The two Goals you must complete for Doubloons are:

  • Complete a Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage
  • Hand in a Chest of Ancient Tributes

You’ll need to be sailing the High Seas to partake in the Dark Fortress Raids, work on the Event Goals, and earn the Doubloons.

Complete a Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage

The first Event Goal is to complete a Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage. A Raid on a Dark Fortress is a multi-phase, time-limited Voyage. Unlike the standard A Raid on a Sea Fort Voyage that has you fighting waves of Phantoms to defeat a Captain of the Fortress, you must also scuttle multiple defending Ghost Ships and take down a Phantom Jailor to complete the Voyage.

While you can start the Voyage several times from your Quest Table during the Event, you only need to complete it once to receive credit for completing the Goal.

If you want a walkthrough for the Voyage or need help finding the Dark Cell Key, check out our complete Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage here!

Chest of Ancient Tributes

Hand in a Chest of Ancient Tributes

The second Event Goal is to sell a Chest of Ancient Tributes. You can find a  Chest of Ancient Tributes in the Dark Cell and Dark Treasury Cell during the Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage.

While you have to open the Dark Treasury Cell to complete the Voyage, you might miss unlocking the Dark Cell. It requires a Dark Cell Key, which you can find inside any of the many objects you can interact with at the Sea Fort, including the cabinets, cupboards, and crates. It can spawn on any floor of the Sea Fort as well. You’ll want to remember to check outside! You may also find the key in one of the wooden crates there.

If for some reason you miss them during the Voyage, you can also find a Chest of Ancient Tributes inside a Treasure Vault, Siren Treasury Vault, several Siren Shrines, and aboard the Burning Blade.

Sell one Chest of Ancient Tributes to complete the Goal.
