The Bilge Rats are here and ready to party with a monthly pirate festival, the Bilge Rats Weekender! During the Bilge Rats Weekender, you can earn Doubloons, participate in a returning Live Event, complete Challenges, embark on lucrative Smugglers’ League Voyages, and enjoy dazzling firework displays at decorated Outposts across the Sea of Thieves!

When is the Bilge Rats Weekender active?

While Bilge Rats Weekender Event normally runs from Friday 10am UTC to Monday 10am UTC during the weekend that the Event is active, this Bilge Rats Weekender Event runs from Thursday 10am UTC to Monday 10am UTC, giving everyone an additional day to partake in the festivities and earn Doubloons!

You can earn Doubloons outside of a Bilge Rats Weekender by selling Reaper’s Chests and progressing your Renown Level. However, you’ll find many more opportunities to earn them during the Weekender itself.

Bilge Rats Weekender

How to earn Doubloons

During the Bilge Rats Weekender, you can earn Doubloons from:

  • Selling Bilge Rats Doubloon Crates (200 Doubloons per crate)
  • Selling Secret Shipment Crates (25 Doubloons per crate)
  • Completing Bilge Rats Challenges (65 Doubloons per challenge)
  • Returning Live Events (300 Doubloons)
  • Selling Reaper Chests (10 Doubloons per chest)
  • Leveling up Renown in a Season Pass (maximum of 425 Doubloons)

While most of the ways you can earn Doubloons can only happen during a Bilge Rats Weekender, you can sell Reaper Chests and increase your Renown Level any time while sailing the sea. It’s also no longer possible to convert Doubloons to Gold through Larinna.

Secret Shipment Crate

Doubloon Wallet Cap

To ensure pirates don’t hoard piles of Doubloons, you can hold no more than 4,000 Doubloons in your wallet at any time.

It is important to note that the cap is not on how many Doubloons you can earn, just how many you can hold at a time. So you can reach the 4,000 Doubloon cap, purchase cosmetics from Larinna or Duke with Doubloons, and then earn more Doubloons until you reach 4,000 again.

Just make sure you spend your Doubloons if you capped before earning any more, as you won’t receive them in your wallet.

Smugglers' League Voyages for Doubloons

During the Bilge Rats Weekender, you can complete two Limited Voyages for Doubloons.

The first Voyage is the Smugglers’ Doubloon Run that will have you smuggling a Bilge Rats Doubloon Crate along the Smugglers’ Route. You’ll need to collect the crate from a Smugglers’ League representative and successfully deliver it to another while fending off any Skeleton Ships or rival crews looking to take the crate for themselves! Selling the crate will reward you with 200 Doubloons.

While you can share the Voyage amongst your crew, you’ll only receive 200 Doubloons for the first three crates you sell that came from a Voyage started by your crew. After that, you will sell them for Gold. However, you can continue to earn Doubloons from crates you steal from other crews, regardless of how many you’ve sold.

You can find a complete guide for the Smugglers’ Doubloon Run here!

Bilge Rats Doubloon Crate

The second Voyage is the Recovery of a Secret Shipment that will have you recovering a Secret Shipment Crate from the locked Captain’s Cabin of a Smugglers’ Shipwreck. To acquire the key to the cabin, you’ll need to defeat waves of Sirens guarding the shipwreck. Once you collect the crate, you can sell it to any Smugglers’ League representative for a unique cosmetic from a previous Season and 25 Doubloons.

Just like the Bilge Rats Doubloon Crate, you’ll only receive Doubloons for the first three crates you sell that come from your crew’s Voyage. You’ll need to acquire more crates from other crews to earn more Doubloons.

If you need help finding the shipwreck, check out our dedicated guide here!

Like other Bilge Rats Weekender activities, you can only start the Limited Voyages on the High Seas. You also only have three of each, so make sure you start them when you have time to complete them.

Bilge Rats Limited Voyages

Bilge Rats Challenges

Upon setting sail during the Bilge Rats Weekender, you will automatically receive a Bilge Rats Challenges Quest with five Challenges you can complete for Doubloons.

You only need to complete each Bilge Rats Challenge once, and you can complete them in any order. You also don’t need to finish them all in one sailing session.

However, similar to other Bilge Rats Weekender activities, you can only work on the Challenges while sailing the High Seas.

Once you complete a Challenge, you will cross it off the Quest, receive a completion notification, and earn 65 Doubloons. So, if you can complete all five Challenges, you will earn a total of 325 Doubloons!

Every pirate has the same Bilge Rats Challenges, so you can expect to run into other crews working on their Quest throughout the Bilge Rats Weekender.

If you need some guidance completing a Challenge, check out our Bilge Rats Challenges Guide for April 2026 here!

Returning Live Events

During each Bilge Rats Weekender, a previous Live Event will return, allowing every pirate to experience the Live Event and, more importantly, earn Doubloons from participating.

To kick off the Bilge Rats Weekender, you can cook your way through the Festival of Fishing!

During the Bilge Rats Weekender Festival of Fishing, you can earn boosted Gold and Reputation for selling fish, raise Emissary Grade quicker for fishing, and partake in two time-limited Hunter’s Call Voyages.

Most importantly, you can also earn 300 Doubloons for completing both Voyages: A Hunter’s Rare Fishing Map and Merrick’s Recipe Request.

You’ll can start each Voyage three times from your Quest Table under Limited Voyage after selecting Special Voyages. While you can embark on each one three times, you only need to complete both once to receive the Doubloons.

Larina's Bilge Rats Black Market

At the center of every Bilge Rats Weekender is Larinna! During the Bilge Rats Weekender, you’ll find Larinna inside the Tavern, drinking Grog with the Tavernkeepers and sharing the locations for upcoming firework displays.

Most importantly, Larinna will be selling Seasonal and time-limited cosmetics in her Bilge Rats Black Market.

The Bilge Rats Black Market will have a Season’s worth of cosmetics added at the start of each Season, rather than being refreshed during each Bilge Rats Weekender. When the next Season begins, Larinna will add another batch of cosmetics to the Black Market rather than replacing the existing cosmetics, so Larinna’s inventory will grow over time.

After one year, the oldest Season’s cosmetics will rotate out, so each item will be available for approximately a year before it leaves the Black Market.

You can expect each Season to add:

  • 24 previous Season cosmetics for 100 Doubloons each
  • 3 previous Giveaway Emotes for 50 Doubloons each
  • 3 previous Pirate Legend locked cosmetics for 150 Doubloons each
  • Letters of Recommendation for 95 Doubloons
  • Dice and Barrel Hide Emotes for 50 Doubloons
  • The Weekender Firework Crate for 5 Doubloons

Since the first Bilge Rats Weekender launches in the middle of Season 19, the initial stock of cosmetics will be less than usual.

Larinna’s Black Market is open throughout the entire Season, not just during the Bilge Rats Weekender, allowing you to spend your Doubloons on cosmetics any time.

Once the Bilge Rats Weekender has ended, Larinna will return to her post outside the Tavern.

If you are curious what she is selling, you can find out here!

Duke Smugglers' Market

Larinna isn’t the only pirate selling cosmetics for Doubloons! Having joined the Smugglers’ League, Duke has come into possession of some rare and exclusive cosmetics that he is selling in his Smugglers’ Market.

Unlike Larinna, Duke is always on the move. Each Bilge Rats Weekender, Duke will travel to a new location somewhere on the sea, so you’ll need to seek him out. The good news is that Duke is always around, even after the Weekender has ended, so you’ll have plenty of time to track him down and purchase the cosmetics in his Smugglers’ Market.

Right now you can find Duke behind the waterfall on Devil’s Ridge. You’ll definitely want to visit him for the Curse of Ill Omen he is selling!

Similar to Larinna, Duke will add a Season’s worth of cosmetics at the start of each Season to his Smugglers’ Market. When the next Season starts, Duke will add another batch of cosmetics to the Smugglers’ Market, increasing his inventory over time.

However, just like Larinna’s Black Market, the oldest Season’s cosmetics will rotate out after one year, so each item will be available for approximately a year before it leaves the Smugglers’ Market.

You can expect each Season to add:

  • 3 exclusive cosmetics for 1500 Doubloons each
  • 6 previous returning cosmetics for 500 Doubloons each

Since the first Bilge Rats Weekender launches in the middle of Season 19, the initial stock of cosmetics will be less than usual.

Because Duke’s prices are significantly higher than Larinna’s, simply completing the Bilge Rats Weekender activities once won’t be enough to afford his wares. You’ll need to find additional ways to earn Doubloons, such as stealing Bilge Rats Doubloon Crates, finding Reaper Chests, progressing your Season Pass, or saving up across multiple Bilge Rats Weekenders.

Duke’s Smugglers’ Market is open throughout the entire Season, not just during the Bilge Rats Weekender, allowing you to spend your Doubloons on cosmetics any time.

Bilge Rats Firework Display

It will be hard to miss that a Bilge Rats Weekender is underway as the Bilge Rats will decorate each Outpost and Seapost for the celebration. A dazzling Fireworks Display will also occur each night across different Outposts. The Fireworks Display lasts about three minutes and starts at 9pm (in-game time). You can speak with Larinna to find out which Outpost will have the next display.

You can add to the show by purchasing a Bilge Rats Fireworks Crate from Larinna.

The schedule for the Firework Display is as follows:

  • Sanctuary Outpost
  • Port Merrick Oupost
  • Plunder Outpost
  • Ancient Spire Outpost
  • Dagger Tooth Outpost
  • Galleon’s Grave Outpost
