The Smugglers’ League needs help retrieving various pieces of stranded cargo left aboard Smugglers’ Shipwrecks throughout the sea. In return for a successful recovery, they’ll reward you with a cosmetic from the crate’s contents, as well as a few Doubloons!
What is the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage?
The Recovery of a Secret Shipment is a single-chapter Smugglers’ League Voyage that will have you recovering a Secret Shipment Crate from a Smugglers’ Shipwreck guarded by waves of Sirens.
Just like other Bilge Rats Weekender activities, you only embark on the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage while sailing the High Seas during the Bilge Rats Weekender.
Each pirate has only three Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyages, so make sure you start the Voyage when you have time to use it!
Secret Shipment Crate
While you can share the Voyage amongst your crew, you’ll only receive 25 Doubloons for the first three crates you sell that came from a Voyage started by your crew. After that, you will sell them for Gold. However, you can continue to earn Doubloons from crates you steal from other crews, regardless of how many you’ve sold.
You will also receive a cosmetic reward on the first Secret Shipment Crate you sell to The Smugglers’ League.
How do you start the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage?
To start the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage, go to your Quest Table, choose Voyages, and then select the Special Voyages. Under Limited Voyages, you’ll see the Recovery of a Secret Shipment. You must have completed one of the other Trading Company Tutorial Voyages to start it.
Recovery of a Secret Shipment: Step by Step
Step 1: Start the Voyage
Vote on the Voyage from your Quest Table to start the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage. You can only Sail to the Voyage.
Once you’ve voted for and started the Recovery of a Secret Shipment Voyage, you will receive one Quest. Equip the Quest from your Quest Radial to discover the silhouette of a shipwreck, a crate, and map coordinates. Using the map coordinates, you can sail to the shipwreck’s last known location.
Step 2: Collect Secret Shipment Crate
As you approach the map coordinates, you’ll want to scan the horizon for a large flock of seagulls. Underneath the seagulls is the Smugglers’ Shipwreck with the Secret Shipment Crate.
Dive beneath the seagulls and swim toward the shipwreck. The Secret Shipment Crate is locked in the Captain’s Cabin. You’ll need to defeat several waves of Sirens to acquire a Smugglers’ Captain’s Key that opens the cabin.
You’ll find Resources, an Ammo Crate, and Tridents of Dark Tides floating around the shipwreck that you can use to fight the Sirens. There are also some bubbles of oxygen on the shipwreck you can use to stay below the surface, fighting the Sirens. After several waves, you will finally encounter the Siren Scavenger, which holds the Smugglers’ Captain’s Key.
Defeat the Siren Scavenger, pick up the key, and open the Captain’s Cabin. Inside, you’ll find the Secret Shipment Crate.
Step 3: Deliver Secret Shipment Crate
You can deliver the Secret Shipment Crate to any Smugglers’ League representative to complete the Voyage, receive the cosmetic, and obtain 25 Doubloons.
You’ll find the Smugglers’ League representatives in their Hideouts at the following locations:
- Lottie in the Southern cave in the middle of Crescent Isle
- Solomon at the back of the cave in the middle of Smugglers’ Bay
- Wei-Lin in the cave to the South of Plunder Valley
- Ix in the Northern cave of Crook’s Hallow
- Kidir in the Southern cave by the beach on Old Faithful Isle
- Leander in the cave below the Southern peak on The Crooked Masts
