Master Cartographer

Donate Treasure Stash maps to a a Quest Board

To complete this commendation, you will need to donate 25 Treasure Stash maps to the Quest Board.

You can only post maps that your crew has created. You cannot post maps that are stolen, gifted, or taken from the Quest Board. You also cannot post maps that are for Outposts.

As you sail the sea, simply bury treasure on different islands to create Treasure Stash Maps. Then, post them to any Quest Boards you come across at the Outposts and Seaposts you visit.

This is a crew-based commendation so it doesn’t matter who posts the maps.

Quest Board

Seeker of Pirate Plunder

Uncover valuable treasures buried by other pirate crews.

To complete this commendation, you will need to dig up 25 pieces of treasure buried by other pirate crews.

You don’t need a Treasure Stash map to dig up other pirate crew’s treasure, but it is helpful! Treasure Stash maps taken from the Quest Board will lead you to treasures buried by other pirate crews.

Go to a Quest Board found at any Outpost or Seapost and take several maps. There are two types of maps you will find: Stash and Hoard maps. The Hoard maps will have more Xs to dig up, making them more desirable for this commendation.

Keep taking maps from the Quest board and digging up the treasure they lead you to. Once you have uncovered 25 different pieces of treasure, you will complete this commendation.

This is a crew-based commendation so it doesn’t matter who digs up the treasure.

Small but Mighty

Shoot another ship using a Cannon Rowboat.

You will need to shoot and hit another ship using a Cannon Rowboat 25 times to complete this commendation.

Cannon Rowboats can be found randomly on island beaches in the Sea of Thieves. Once you find one, find another ship and blast away. Once you have hit another ship 25 times with the Cannon Rowboat, you will have completed this commendation.

We were able to complete this commendation by shooting a Skeleton Ship if you are having difficulty with shooting pirate ships.

Skies of Friendship

Set off fireworks while in an Alliance.

To complete this commendation, you will first need to be in an Alliance. Once you find a friendly ship that will form an Alliance with you, simply shoot a Firework with your ship’s cannon into the sky to complete the commendation.

You can purchase Fireworks from the Merchant Alliance or randomly find them in Resource Barrels across the Sea of Thieves.

Gunpowder, Treason and Plot

Start a fire on another crew’s ship by setting off a firework.

To complete this commendation, you will need to start a fire on another crew’s ship using a Firework.

To do this, you’ll want to gather some Fireworks. You can purchase Fireworks from the Merchant Alliance or randomly find them in Resource Barrels across the Sea of Thieves.

Once you have several Fireworks, find a ship and start shooting them with your ship’s cannons at the other crew’s ship. Fireworks are not guaranteed to start a fire. There is just a tiny chance that one will set a ship ablaze. Because of this, you’ll want to fire several and hope for the best!

We were able to complete this commendation by shooting a Skeleton Ship if you are having difficulty with shooting pirate ships.

Night-Time Spectacular

Set off a display of five or more fireworks at night.

To complete this commendation, you’ll first need to gather some Fireworks.

You can either purchase Fireworks from the Merchant Alliance at any Outpost or find them in Resource Barrels scattered throughout the Sea of Thieves.

Once you have your Fireworks, load them up into your ship’s cannons and shoot them all off in quick succession.

If you shoot off five Fireworks quickly enough, you will complete the commendation.

You can do this yourself on a Sloop shooting out of one cannon. Though, it’s even easier to do on a Galleon with a crew.
