While you can usually plan accordingly by scanning the horizon, you can discover even more by scanning your ship’s Map Table. With dozens of different icons symbolizing a variety of treasures, items, and ships, you’ll want to learn what each icon represents so you can quickly change course depending on what you find!

An icon of a red shark fin above a flame marks an Ancient Feared Redmaw on the Map Table. You can only see this icon if you are sailing as a Grade V Hunter’s Call Emissary and there is an active Ancient Feared Redmaw.

An icon of a purple shark fin above a lightning bolt marks an Ancient Barnacled Dread on the Map Table. You can only see this icon if you are sailing as a Grade V Hunter’s Call Emissary and there is an active Ancient Barnacled Dread.

Blade of Souls

An icon of a red sword marks a Blade of Souls on the Map Table. You will see this icon if someone has sunk the Burning Blade World and retrieved the Blade of Souls. While you can defeat the Burning Blade to take command of it, you can also sink it to acquire the Blade of Souls.

An icon of a red ship marks a Burning Blade on the Map Table. You will see this icon if the Burning Blade World Event is active. You will also see a swirling red beacon on the horizon above the Burning Blade.

A red icon of a skull and ropes marks a Chest of Bones on the Map Table. You will see this icon if someone has dug up a Chest of Bones during the Followers of the Flame Voyage.

A purple icon of a skull marks a Guardians of Fortune ship on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew is sailing for the Guardians of Fortune and engaging in Hourglass Faction Battles.

Guardians of Fortune Champion

A purple icon of a skull and bones marks a Guardians of Fortune Champion ship on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew is sailing for the Guardians of Fortune and engaging in Hourglass Faction Battles. The Champion icon is for Guardians of Fortune ships that have defeated at least four ships in battle.

A blue and gold icon of clasped hands marks a Guild Emissary Grade V ship on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew is sailing as a Guild Emissary and has reached Grade V Emissary.

A red icon of a skull with red eyes marks a Fort of the Damned Key on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew has defeated a Fort of the Damned World Event and hasn’t opened the Vault.

A blue icon of a chest marks a Chest of Siren Song on the Map Table. You can see this icon if you opt in to the Skull of Siren Song Voyage from your ship’s main mast. During the first Chapter of the Voyage, you must bring together a Chest of Siren Song and Key of Siren Song to acquire a Skull of Siren Song.

A gold icon of a skull with a coin marks a Reaper’s Bounty on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew has a Reaper’s Bounty. Reaper’s Bounties are in Shipwrecks, Forts of the Damned, and Skeleton’s Orders. You can sell Reaper’s Bounties to The Reaper’s Bones for Gold.

Reaper's Chest

A red icon of a skull marks a Reaper’s Chest on the Map Table. You will see this icon if a crew has a Reaper’s Chest. Reaper’s Chests are in Shipwrecks, Forts of the Damned, and Skeleton’s Orders. You can sell Reaper’s Chests to The Reaper’s Bones for Doubloons.

Royal Crest Fortress Key

An icon of a gray and orange key marks a Royal Crest Fortress Key on the Map Table. You will see this icon if you opt in to The Smugglers’ Heist Voyage from your ship’s main mast. During the first Chapter of the Voyage, you must collect the key and use it to open Royal Crest Fortress.
