The Shrine of the Coral Tomb is one of the six Shrines found in the Sunken Kingdom. This Shrine is an ancient tomb, transformed by the Sirens into a grand chamber of offerings to their kingdom and royalty. Among the offerings, you will find scattered remains of lost pirates as well as coral-covered treasure.
Once inside, you will need to find three sets of Coral Levers to complete the Shrine. Some of these levers will be easy to spot, while others will be harder to find. Interacting with the levers in the correct order will allow you to gain access to hidden areas of the Shrine filled with treasure.
This guide will walk you through the Shrine, step by step, showing you how to solve the puzzles, uncover each secret, and read every journal found within the Shrine.
You will unlock the Shrine of the Coral Tomb and Mystery of the Shrine of the Coral Tomb commendations if you follow along.
Don’t forget to store any treasure you find along the way in the Sunken Merfolk Statues!
The Shrine of the Coral Tomb: Step by Step
Step 1: Sail to the Shrine of the Coral Tomb
You can find the Shrine of the Coral Tomb in The Shores of Plenty just North of Lone Cove. You can locate it on your Map Table at the coordinates H5.
As you sail closer to the Shrine, you will spot purple and blue lights swirling into the sky. These lights help indicate the exact location of the Shrine below the water.
Park your ship within the lights and dive into the water!
Step 2: Enter the Shrine of the Coral Tomb
Once you arrive above the Shrine of the Coral Tomb, swim down and head to the Northwest side of the Shrine.
Where is the entrance to the Shrine of Tribute?
You can find the entrance to the Shrine of the Coral Tomb at the base of the Shrine on the Northwest side.
Once on the Northwest side, you will find the entrance blocked by a Siren Window barrier. Damage the pink Coral Orb to open the window and pass through the barrier.
Step 3: Descend into the Center of the Shrine
Once you are past the Siren Window, walk forward and jump down into the pit. You will slide down a long waterslide and land in a large pool of water at the bottom of a large chamber.
You will be spending most of your time in this pool of water solving several Coral Lever Puzzles.
After you have landed in the pool of water in the chamber, swim to the bottom of the chamber. You will find a journal resting on stone blocks next to an Ammo Chest. Read it, and you will have uncovered your first secret. The name of this journal is ‘1. Seashell Earring’.
Step 4: Solve Siren Coral Lever Puzzles
After reading the journal, swim back to the surface. Up high and to the East, you will see a giant mural of the Siren Queen. Above the Siren Queen are three important symbols that you will want to remember. Specifically, the order they are in from left to right.
Gem, Coral, and Chain.
This mural represents the Siren cycle of life. First, sirens lure pirates with the promise of riches (Gem) to the coral-filled Sunken Kingdom (Coral), where the Sirens then chain the pirates and their ships for all eternity (Chain).
Using the Gem, Coral, and Chain symbols, you will need to solve three different sets of Coral Lever Puzzles to complete the Shrine: Blue Coral Levers, Yellow Coral Levers, and Red Coral Levers.
You will have to interact with the levers in the correct order to solve each Coral Lever Puzzle. As you solve the puzzles, you will gain access to more hidden treasure areas in the Shrine! The exit is always available to use if you need that quick escape to the surface!
Only one set of Coral Levers will be available at the start. Therefore, you will need to solve one set to unlock access to the next set.
Solving all three will raise the water in the Shrine, giving you access to the most lucrative treasure!
How to solve the Coral Lever Puzzles
Each set of Coral Lever Puzzles has three different levers to interact with: a Gem Lever, a Coral Lever, and a Chain Lever.
To complete the puzzle, you will need to interact with each lever in the set in the correct order: Gem, Coral, Chain.
If you interact with the levers in the correct order, you will hear the Siren’s song from the giant Siren Statues surrounding the chamber. If you interact with the levers in the incorrect order, the levers will reset, and you will need to interact with them again in the correct order.
Step 5: Pull Blue Coral Levers
If you are on the surface of the water, scanning around the room, you will see three stone alcoves covered in colored coral. The blue alcove is open, but the yellow and red are closed.
Thus, the first set of Coral Levers available to solve are the Blue Coral Levers. Though we can see the Blue Chain Lever in the blue compartment, we need to save interacting with that one last.
The first lever we need to find is the Blue Gem Lever. Dive below the water and head East. You will see the Blue Gem Lever on the side of the wall with a Gem symbol over it. Use the lever.
Face West from the Blue Gem Lever and swim past the large column to find the Blue Coral Lever. Use the lever.
Then swim up towards the water’s surface and to the West by North West to find the Blue Chain Lever in a small stone alcove. Use the lever.
Doing so will cause the giant Siren Statue with the red ruby in its chest to glow and sing the Siren song.
You will have completed the first Coral Lever Puzzle, and the Yellow Chain Lever alcove will open. You will have also opened two new areas in the chamber that contain the following levers you need to pull.
A couple of Siren will also spawn. Dispatch of them to make it easier as you solve the Yellow Coral Lever Puzzle.
Step 6: Pull Yellow Coral Levers
From the Blue Chain Lever you just pulled, stay on the water’s surface and swim over to the North by North West side of the room, just to the right of the Blue Chain Lever. You will find a small tunnel above the water that leads to a Yellow Gem Lever. Pull it.
Just next to the lever is the next secret to uncover. Read the journal called ‘2. A Hidden Kingdom’.
Dive back into the water and swim to the South. You will see a new underwater cave lined in yellow and red coral. Head inside to find a Yellow Coral Lever and the end of the tunnel to pull. Pull it.
Then swim back up above the water’s surface and to the North to pull the Yellow Chain Lever.
Pulling the Yellow Chain Lever will complete the Yellow Coral Lever Puzzle and open up the Red Chain Lever. Two new areas will also be available to explore beneath the water.
You will need to contend with the Sirens that spawn before working on the Red Coral Lever Puzzle.
Step 7: Pull Red Coral Levers
Now we are looking to solve the Red Coral Lever set.
First, swim South West underwater to find a small cave that leads to the Red Gem lever.
Then swim North East underwater to find a large tunnel that leads to the Red Coral Lever. Just after the entrance to the tunnel with the Red Coral Lever is a journal lying on the ground to the right. Read it to uncover the third secret. The name of this journal is ‘3. The Sea Queen and her Warrior’.
Then swim South above water to the Red Chain Lever.
Pulling the final Chain Lever will solve the puzzle and raise the water level in the Chamber. You’ll have to fight a couple more Sirens before having free rein of the Shrine.
Step 8: Collect Treasure
You will find treasure scattered on all sides of the Shrine after the water level has risen.
First, head to the newly accessible room to the West. Walk in to find a journal in front of a wall of pirate remains. Read it, and you will have uncovered the fourth secret. The name of this journal is ‘4. The Whispering Plague’.
After that, climb up the wooden path to the North East. You’ll find yourself on a platform with lots of treasure and another journal. The journal sits on the ground next to a Resource Barrel, just right of the Sunken Merfolk Statue. Read this journal to uncover the final secret of the Shrine. The name of this journal is ‘5. The Sunken Kingdom’.
Where is the Breath of the Sea in the Shrine of the Coral Tomb?
You can find the Breath of the Sea in the Shrine of the Coral Tomb on the upper level of the Shrine. To reach the Coral Plinth where the Breath of the Sea sits, you’ll need to solve the three Coral Lever Puzzles and raise the water level in the Shrine.
The Breath of the Sea will only be there if you are on an active Coral Message in a Bottle voyage that leads you to this Shrine.

It doesn’t. Only a couple of them do.
How do you get through the door that had 2 Mermaids A staff a clam and a shell on it, i got stuck after getting the first 3 sets of levers
