Grab a grog, raise the anchor, and set sail for the closest World Event during the Season 20 Community Weekend Event! To participate in the festivities, you want to take on formidable World Events to work on a Community Spirit Goal. There is also Pop-Up Plunder to find, Community Emissary Grades to achieve, Picture Walls to pose in front of, and more!
Everyone can participate in the Season 20 Community Weekend, no matter how long you’ve been sailing the sea! So whether you are new to the Sea of Thieves or an old salt who’s been around since the beginning, you’ll be able to celebrate the Event!
Season 20 Community Weekend
During the Event, you can claim login bonuses, contribute to a Community Spirit Goal, complete Event Goals, earn boosted rewards, partake in Pop-Up Plunder to find rare treasures, unlock Twitch Drops, and pose in front of Picture Walls!
The Season 20 Community Weekend Event takes place from 10 am UTC Friday, June 26th, to 10 am UTC Monday, June 29th.
Login Bonuses
Starting with login bonuses, simply setting sail anytime during the Season 20 Community Weekend will earn you the Season 20 Community Weekend Flag and the Hitchhike Emote.
You can find the Flag in your Ship Customization Chest and the Emote in your Vanity Chest after you’ve unlocked them.
Community Spirit Goal
The Community Spirit Goal will have you and your fellow pirates complete World Events! Once the community achieves the Goal, anyone who participated by completing at least one World Event over the Community Weekend will unlock a Voyage of Luck and the Meridian Hunter Cutlass.
To help contribute, you’ll want to take on Skeleton Forts, Forts of Fortune, Forts of the Damned, Skeleton Fleets, Burning Blade’s Armadas, Ashen Lords, Burning Blades, and Ancient Megalodons. With the removal of Raid Voyages, you’ll have to sail to and complete World Events in the High Seas for credit.
Don’t worry if the community reaches the Goal before you can tackle a World Event. You’ll still get the Cutlass if you complete one before the Event is over.
Hunting Hauls
You can also unlock the Meridian Hunter Eye of Reach by achieving one of two Event Goals! The Game Maker Goal will have you joining a Custom Seas game hosted by a Sea of Thieves Partner or Affiliate Alliance, while the Event Expert Goal will have you completing a set number of World Events. You only have to do one of the two to receive the Eye of Reach.
If you are looking to work on the Game Maker Goal, you can check out the Partner or Affiliate Alliance Directory to find someone putting together a Custom Seas game. And if you are working on the Event Expert Goal, keep sailing to and taking down those World Events!
Twitch Drops
As for Twitch Drops, you’ll want to tune into any Sea of Thieves stream on Twitch to unlock a variety of rewards, including Gold, Renown, the Sea Serpent Pistol, Gilded Phoenix Figurehead, and Gilded Phoenix Hull!
Make sure you have linked your Twitch and Sea of Thieves accounts first, otherwise the Drops you claim won’t reach your pirate.
Community Emissary Grade
Watching Sea of Thieves streams on Twitch will help raise the Community Emissary Grade. The Community Emissary Grade affects the multiplier used to boost the Gold, Reputation, Renown, Allegiance, and Guild Reputation you can earn in-game.
The more you and your fellow pirates watch Sea of Thieves streams, the higher the Community Emissary Grade will rise. Emissary Grade 5, the max Grade, applies a 2.5 multiplier on all rewards!
You can check the current Community Emissary Grade on the Events menu in-game.
Pop-Up Plunder
After setting sail, you’ll want to watch the Sea of Thieves social channels for clues on where to find Pop-Up Plunder!
Pop-Up Plunder is a piece of high-value treasure that you can dig up periodically throughout the Community Weekend. You can expect to dig up Ashen Chests of Legends, Chests of Fortune, Collector’s Chest of Broken Emissary Flags, and a Collector’s Chest of treasure for the various Trading Companies. You can even discover a Box of Wondrous Secrets!
Every time Pop-Up Plunder becomes available, you’ll receive an in-game toast and a Pop-Up Plunder Quest Note to notify you. The Pop-Up Plunder will only be discoverable for a limited time, an hour, to be precise, after being announced.
You can find out where the latest Pop-Up Plunder is throughout the weekend here or by following the dedicated Pop-Up Plunder interactive map marker!
Picture Wall
The festively decorated Picture Walls return! Like previous Community Weekends, a celebratory Picture Wall will appear on every Outpost for you and your crew to pose and take pictures in front of. You will even find one at The Reaper’s Hideout.
You can also strike a pose at the Picture Walls in the Legendary Locations you sail to in Custom Seas, including Old Sailor Isle, the Damned Sea Dog Tavern, and Tribute Peak!
Each Picture Wall also features a Community Emissary Flag that displays the current Community Emissary Grade.
Community Spirit Firework Crate
And finally, you can collect a Community Spirit Firework Crate, free of charge, from any Merchant Alliance representative. You only get one Crate per pirate, so make sure you grab yours when you have time to use it!
