Long-forgotten followers of the Order of Bone and Blade, Flameheart’s most devoted servants, have reawakened after years of lying in wait beneath the sand. While they are still devoted to Flameheart, these Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will pledge allegiance to any pirate who wakes them from their slumber.
If you need an extra hand to help you fight, explore, and loot islands across the Sea of Thieves, you’ll want an Order of Bone and Blade Skeleton by your side!

Once you find a buried Order of Bone and Blade Skeleton, equip your shovel to dig them out to revive them. The Order of Bone and Blade Skeleton will become your ally, aiding you on your adventures. However, unearthed Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons are bound to the island you resurrect them on and cannot board your ship or travel with you to other islands.
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will have a green name above their head if they are allied to your crew and a red name if they belong to a rival crew.
You can find and revive two Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons on the same island, creating a crew of loyal Skeletons. You’ll want to comb the island’s beach and search inland to find both bony arms. Some of the Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can even be a formidable Captain with more health.
Unlike Bone Caller Skeletons, Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will live for as long as you stay on the island. There is no timer, and they will follow you until you leave. Once you depart the island, you can expect to lose your crew of Skeletons after 15 minutes of being left alone.

What can Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons do?
On top of following you and fighting for you like Bone Caller Skeletons, Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can dig up treasure, carry treasure, solve Quests, and perform various emotes and reactions.
Follow
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will actively follow the last crew member to revive them. However, they will only follow you around the island. They can not leave and join you on your ship.
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will teleport to your location if they get too far away or stuck. If the Skeleton can no longer reach you, they will dig beneath the sand and re-emerge beside you.
While the Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can usually keep up with you, teleporting is necessary for islands with smaller surrounding isles like Shark Bait Cove and Snake Island.
Fight Enemies
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will fight for you and take on any nearby enemies, such as other Skeletons, Ocean Crawlers, Phantoms, and pirates. They will return to following you once the fight is over.
Unlike Bone Caller Skeletons, you can revive Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons that die in battle. However, they cannot revive you, so you must depend on your pirate crew members for that!
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can use a wide range of weapons and will swap between them depending on the circumstances. They will also eat food if they lose too much health.
While they are helpful with the weapons they can equip, they cannot use cannons.

Dig Up Treasure
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can help you dig up any treasure. Once you start digging up a buried piece of treasure, nearby Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons will help you shovel the rest. After you’ve dug the treasure out, the Skeletons will return to following you around the island.
Carry Treasure
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can carry treasure for you. Approach a Skeleton while holding treasure, and you will see a prompt to give it to them. The Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can hold small single-handed and large double-handed pieces of treasure.
You can even interact with the piece of treasure if they are holding a Treasure Chest or Resource Crate.
You can easily take back the treasure from the Skeleton just like a pirate crew mate by approaching them and interacting with the prompt.
While the Skeletons can hold almost all loot, they cannot hold Tall Tale items, pets, or Inventory items such as food, Cannonballs, and Wooden Planks.
If a fight occurs while the Skeletons are holding treasure, they will drop it and charge into the fight. Once the fight ends, the Skeleton will return to pick up the dropped treasure.
If the Order of Bone and Blade is currently carrying a piece of treasure when they teleport to you, the treasure will teleport with them in their hands.

Solve Treasure Maps, Riddle Quests, and Bounty Quests
Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons can help you solve Treasure Maps and Riddle Quests for the Gold Hoarders and Athena’s Fortune. They can even help you complete Bounty Quests for the Order of Souls!
Approach a Skeleton with your Quest equipped, and you will see a prompt to ‘Show Map.’ The Skeleton will lead you to the closest dig site if you show it a Treasure Map and a landmark if you show it a Riddle Quest. Once it’s found the location, it will emote to beckon you over. If they get distracted by an enemy, they will resume heading to the dig location without prompting them again.
If you show it a Bounty Quest, it will direct you to the location of the Bounty Skeletons and begin to fight them.

Emote and React
While Order of Bone and Blade Skeletons cannot speak, they are very emotive and can communicate by reacting to different scenarios.
If a Skeleton cannot help you solve a Quest, they will shrug their shoulders. However, if they can help you, they will wave and beckon you to the dig site. And, when you finally leave your Skeletons behind, they will wave at you as you sail away.
