Jot down yer email, and we’ll be sure to let ye know when there’s something new on the horizon.

The final Act of Season 19 will have you taking up arms instead of Tankards during a time-limited competitive Event, Last Ship Standing! The Last Ship Standing Event will have you diving to the Sea of the Damned for an all-out free-for-all battle where only one crew can return victorious!

What is the Last Ship Standing Event?

During the Last Ship Standing Event, you can interact with your Hourglass of Fate to dive into a free-for-all battle against five other crews in the Sea of the Damned. Every crew can earn Allegiance by joining the fight, but only one can be the last ship standing and claim victory!

While the Event is active, only Sloops can dive to Last Ship Standing and cannot dive to Faction Battles against a single crew. Brigantines and Galleons will continue to dive into one-on-one Faction Battles.

The Last Ship Standing Event takes place from May 21st to June 18th. After June 18th, you can expect the experience to return regularly alongside other recurring Live Events.

What is Last Ship Standing?

Last Ship Standing is a time-limited competitive Event where crews dive into the Sea of the Damned for a free-for-all battle to determine which crew reigns supreme. Rather than the standard one-on-one Faction Battles, Last Ship Standing throws up to six Sloops into the fight at once, with only one crew walking away victorious.

Last Ship Standing supports both solo and duo Sloops, so if you are sailing by yourself, you will fight other single-crewed ships, and if you are sailing with a crew member, you will fight other duo-crewed ships.

Similar to Faction Battles, you will travel beneath the waves while you wait to match with other crews. While you can fight up to five other crews in Last Ship Standing, you may match with fewer depending on how long you are waiting. If a total of six ships is not immediately available, a match can start with five or four ships so everyone can get into the fight as quickly as possible.

Last Ship Standing takes place in the Seas of Sailor’s Grave, a dedicated area within the Sea of the Damned. The Seas of Sailor’s Grave features three distinct regions, each with its own unique landscape and cover opportunities for crews to fight across.

As the fight progresses, the Battle Bounds will shrink at set intervals, pushing crews closer together. Ships unable to keep up with the shrinking bounds will explode, so fleeing is not a long-term option! You’ll need to keep an eye on the red Mist of Fate while you fight, as it closes in around you.

Before the battle begins, all crews will receive a Faction Battle Supply Crate to ensure everyone enters the fight with plenty of resources. You can also find additional resources in Barrels of Plenty scattered across the combat area.

How does Last Ship Standing work?

To start a match of Last Ship Standing, you’ll first want to set sail as a Sloop. You can set sail by yourself or with a crew member. Interact with the Hourglass of Fate on your Sloop to choose which Faction you want to pledge your Allegiance to. You can choose either Guardians of Fortune or Servants of the Flame.

Once you’ve pledged your Allegiance, unravel the War Map on your Quest Table and vote to battle. Sail out into open water, and your Sloop will dive into an underwater tunnel where you will begin matchmaking with other ships.

When the required number of ships is ready, you will all surface together into the Sea of the Damned. Once in the Sea of the Damned, you’ll need to sink every other ship and be the last one standing to claim victory!

If you sink during Last Ship Standing, you can vote to match again or return to the High Seas.

If you are victorious and become the Last Ship Standing, you have a short window of time to collect any rewards left behind on the water, including Emissary Flags and additional resources.

As the Faction you pledge to will automatically raise an Emissary Flag for you at the start of the match, you can expect plenty of Broken Emissary Flags to be floating about.

Once you’ve gathered your winnings, you can sail through a giant red portal to return to the High Seas. If you take too long to exit, you will automatically return.

Allegiance

Just like a Faction Battle, you will earn Allegiance regardless of the outcome, but the higher you finish, the more you will earn!

The biggest rewards are weighted heavily toward the top positions, so winning is still very much worth fighting for. You can expect to earn a lot more if you win a Last Ship Standing match than a Faction Battle.

The size of your match also matters. Winning a six-ship match will reward you more than winning a four-ship match.

Streaks also carry over into Last Ship Standing. Of course, your own Streak will boost your rewards when you win, just as it does in a Faction Battle. However, as the Last Ship Standing victor, you will also receive boosts from the Streaks of every crew in the match, regardless of whether you personally sank them.

Rewards

During the Event, you can earn three Champion of Fortune and Champion of Flame Battle-Scarred ship cosmetics as well as a Title by completing all six related Deeds in Act 3 of Season 19.

While representing Guardians of Fortune, place in the top 3 during a Last Ship Standing match.

To complete this Deed, you must start a match of Last Ships Standing while representing the Guardians of Fortune and survive long enough during a match to be one of the three final ships. It doesn’t matter if your match started with six, five, or four ships, as long as you are one of the three remaining.

Complete the Deed will reward you with the Champion of Fortune Battle-Scarred Flag.
