Throughout the festivities, you can enjoy boosted Athena’s Fortune rewards, tackle daily Challenges, uncover Legendary Messages in Bottles, and claim an exclusive cosmetic reward!
What is the Legends Week Event?
During Legends Week, all pirates can earn boosted Gold and Reputation from any Athena’s Fortune treasure they sell to the Mysterious Stranger and the Sovereigns.
Every pirate can also find Legendary Messages in Bottles in shipwrecks and on island beaches across the sea. Completing three Voyages from the Legendary Messages in a Bottles will unlock the Life of a Legend Tattoo.
As for Pirate Legends, on top of boosted rewards and Legendary Messages in Bottles, they can also earn additional Gold, Renown, and Athena’s Fortune Reputation for completing Legendary Daily Challenges and grab a free Pirate Legend Firework Crate from the Merchant Alliance.
Life of a Legend Tattoo
All pirates can unlock the Life of a Legend Tattoo by completing three Legendary Message in a Bottle Voyages.
Legendary Messages in Bottles are purple bottles that can appear randomly in shipwrecks and on the shores of any island in the High Seas, excluding Outposts. You cannot find Legendary Messages in Bottles in Safer Seas.
The Legendary Messages in Bottles glint bright purple from a distance, making them easy to spot as you sail by islands or explore shorelines.
You don’t need to be a Pirate Legend to see or find one. Any pirate of any experience can collect a Legendary Message in a Bottle.
Each Legendary Message in a Bottle contains an “X Marks the Spot” Quest. However, unlike regular Messages in Bottles, the Legendary Message in a Bottle “X Marks the Spot” Quest will always lead you to Athena’s Fortune treasures. These treasures include:
- Crate of Legendary Voyages
- Chest of Legends
- Ashen Chest of Legends
- Keg of Ancient Black Powder
- Skull of Ancient Fortune
- Chalice of Ancient Fortune
- Jar of Incense
- Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune

How long is the Legends Week Event?
The Legends Week Event runs from December 2nd to December 9th (10am UTC).
Legendary Daily Challenges
Pirate Legends can earn extra Gold, Renown, and Athena’s Fortune Reputation by completing seven Daily Challenges.
The seven Daily Challenges will unlock one day at a time, and remain active for 24 hours. The Daily Challenges are also not repeatable like other events, so you only need to meet the Challenge’s requirements once. You can also work on the Challenges over several sailing sessions.
A Legendary Haul
Hand in any 2 pieces of Athena’s Fortune Treasure to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, sell two pieces of Athena’s Fortune treasure to the Mysterious Stranger or the Sovereigns.

Fortune Favours the Bold
Unlock a Fort of Fortune Vault to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must damage an Ashen Lord from a Fort of Fortune at least once and be on the fort when the Ashen Lord is defeated.
Light The Way
Use a Skull of Destiny to activate the Fort of the Damned to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must light all six Flames of Fate in the Fort of the Damned and start the World Event by placing a Skull of Destiny in the cage. You can easily find a Skull of Destiny by completing a Legendary Search for the Skull of Destiny Voyage. You can purchase the voyage from the Pirate Lord.
Piercing the Veil
Complete a Legend of the Veil Voyage to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must start and finish a Legend of the Veil Voyage. You can purchase the voyage from the Pirate Lord or any Shipwright if you are a Captain.

Troublesome Treasures
Complete a Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure Voyage to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must finish a Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure Voyage. You can purchase the voyage from the Pirate Lord or any Shipwright if you are a Captain.
The Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure is a multi-chapter voyage. During the voyage, you will use the Wayfinder of Legends to locate five cursed chests. Each chest is buried on a different island a short distance apart.
Battle Stations
Defeat 3 Servants of the Flame ships in Faction battles to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must win three Hourglass battles against ships that pledged allegiance to the Servants of the Flame. It doesn’t matter if you are sailing as a Guardian of Fortune or Servant of the Flame, just as long as your opponent is a Servant of the Flame.
Smouldering Plunder
Hand in an Ashen Chest of Legends to achieve this Goal.
To complete this goal, you must sell an Ashen Chest of Legends to the Mysterious Stranger or the Sovereigns. You can only find an Ashen Chest during an Ashen Athena’s Fortune Voyage.
