Cursed Chests have long tested a crew’s sailing abilities, from a raging inferno to a watery demise. However, these chests are typically relatively rare. So, most often, pirates have only needed to manage these hazards one at a time.

However, if you want to challenge your sailing abilities and sail the sea with multiple Cursed Chests, you’ll want to start the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage!

What is the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure Voyage?

The Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure is a multi-chapter voyage exclusive to Pirate Legends. During the voyage, you will use an enchanted compass, the Wayfinder of Legends, to locate five cursed chests. Each chest is buried on a different island a short distance apart.

The cursed chests you will dig up can vary between the three notorious cursed chests: Chest of Rage, Chest of Sorrow, and Chest of a Thousand Grogs.

You never know what cursed chest you’ll discover. We once dug up four Chests of Sorrow in a row! With the abundance of cursed chests, pirates looking to complete their Hoarder of Grog Soaked Gold and Hoarder of Treasured Tears commendations will find this voyage particularly helpful.

Though, these chests can come with some unwanted company! In the midst of digging up a cursed chest, you might be ambushed by cursed skeletons!

You also have a tiny chance of digging up the Chest of Legends or the Chest of Boundless Sorrow!

What is the Chest of Boundless Sorrow?

You can only find the Chest of Boundless Sorrow during the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage. However, it has a minimal chance of being discovered, so you will be lucky to dig one up!

The Chest of Boundless Sorrows bears a more powerful curse than the Chest of Sorrow, causing it to weep continually. This constant waterfall of tears makes it much more challenging to transport. Nevertheless, the Gold Hoarders will handsomely reward those daring enough to ferry the chest to them!

The Chest of Boundless Sorrow is worth about double a normal Chest of Sorrow so you can expect around 6,500 gold if you hand one in!

Where do you purchase the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure Voyage?

You can purchase the voyage for 75 Doubloons from the Pirate Lord in the Athena’s Fortune Hideout or any Shipwright if you are a Captain.

How do you complete the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure Voyage?

To complete the Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure voyage, you must use the Wayfinder of Legends to find and dig up five cursed chests. You don’t need to kill the cursed skeletons that ambush you after you dig up each chest to complete the voyage.

You also don’t need to hold onto each Cursed Chest you dig up. Instead, you can sell the chests throughout your voyage if they become unmanageable.

If you are ferrying multiple cursed chests, remove any that could sink your ship while you hunt for more. After all, you don’t want to return to a sunken ship!
