You now have another choice when deciding which Emissary to represent as you sail the sea. Will you pick one of the Sea of Thieves Trading Companies or fly an Emissary Flag for your Guild? Choosing to fly an Emissary Flag for your Guild will allow you to earn Guild Reputation, place on the Guild Emissary Ledger, unlock Guild-exclusive rewards, and much more!
Guild Emissary
The Guild Emissary allows you to raise a Guild Emissary Flag at the Guild Emissary Table at the Sovereigns. Your Guild will unlock the ability to use the Guild Emissary once your Guild’s reputation level is 15.
Your Guild Emissary Flag will match your Guild’s branding, including color and icon.
Once raised, you can increase the Grade of your Guild Emissary Flag and earn bonus Gold and Guild Reputation, based on your grade, when handing in treasure to the Sovereigns.
How to increase Guild Emissary Grade
Like Trading Company Emissaries, you must complete certain activities to raise your Guild Emissary Grade. While the Trading Company Emissaries require you to work on specific activities related to the Trading Company, the Guild Emissary allows you to perform actions related to any Trading Company!
For example, you must complete Gold Hoarder quests to raise your Gold Hoarder Emissary Flag. However, you can complete any Trading Company quests to raise your Guild Emissary Flag.
Some of the activities you can complete to raise your Guild Emissary Flag are:
- Completing any Trading Company quest
- Placing any Trading Company treasure on your ship for the first time
- Picking up Trading Company treasure for the first time
- Defeating a World Event
- Defeating a Sea Fort or Treasury
- Defeating a Skeleton Captain
- Sinking an opposing Allegiance Ship
- Cooking Meat and Fish
- Completing Tall Tales
Guild Emissary Grade Multiplayer
Like Trading Company Emissaries, you get bonus Gold and Reputation when you hand in treasure to the Sovereigns who are the Guild Emissary Representatives.
When you hand in treasure to the Sovereign, you will get a bonus of Gold and Reputation of:
- Grade 1 – 1x (100% of normal value)
- Grade 2 – 1.15x (115% of normal value)
- Grade 3 – 1.30x (130% of normal value)
- Grade 4 – 1.45x (145% of normal value)
- Grade 5 – 1.75x (175% of normal value)
The Guild Emissary Grade bonuses are lower than other Trading Company Emissary Grades because you receive the boosted gold and reputation for all treasure and Trading Companies.
So, if you want to boost your reputation with the Gold Hoarders and Order of Souls simultaneously, you can sell your treasure to the Sovereigns while sailing with a Guild Emissary Flag.
Broken Emissary Flags
While sailing as a Guild Emissary, you can sell broken Emissary Flags to the Sovereigns, rewarding reputation to the Reaper’s Bones.
Guild Emissary Grade 5
Once you raise your Emissary Grade to 5, your Guild Ship will appear on the Map Table of every ship on your server, similar to a crew sailing with a Reaper’s Bones Emissary Flag.
Guild Emissary Ledger
Just as you can climb up the Trading Company Emissary Ledgers, your Guild can compete with other Guilds in the Guild Emissary Ledger. Guilds can earn a place on the Guild Emissary Ledger by their Guild Members sailing as Guild Emissaries and adding Emissary Value for the Guild.
Your Guild’s Emissary Ledger position is based on the total Emissary Value your Guild has accumulated from every Guild Member. So if one Guild Member earns 2000 Emissary Value and another Guild Member earns 5000 Emissary Value, your Guild has 7000 Emissary Value.
Like the Trading Company Emissary Ledgers, every Guild Member will unlock unique Guild rewards based on your position on the Guild Emissary Ledger when the Ledger closes.
