The Festival of Fishing has returned! You can expect to catch fish, earn boosted rewards, unlock cosmetics, and even prepare delicious dishes using meaty ingredients you gather across the Sea of Thieves!
What is the Festival of Fishing Event?
During the Festival of Fishing, you can earn boosted Gold and Reputation for selling fish, raise Emissary Grade quicker for fishing, partake in two time-limited Hunter’s Call Voyages, and work on various fishing-themed Goals.
You can also unlock two event-exclusive rewards for completing both Voyages and achieving every Goal!
The Festival of Fishing Event will be active from May 2nd to May 12th.
Event Rewards
You can earn two event-exclusive rewards during the Event: the Connoisseur of Culinary Craft Title and Courageous Catch Fishing Rod.
To unlock the Connoisseur of Culinary Craft Title, you must complete all five Goals.
To unlock the Courageous Catch Fishing Rod, you must complete both time-limited Voyages.

Fish Multiplier
During the Event, you will receive double Gold and Reputation for all Fish you sell to the Hunter’s Call and Sovereigns. It doesn’t matter if the Fish is raw, cooked, or burnt; you will still receive double its worth.
Fishing Emissary Boost
On top of earning double Gold and Reputation, you’ll also earn Emissary Grade faster when sailing as a Hunter’s Call or Guild Emissary! Throughout the Festival of Fishing, catching Fish will increase your Emissary Grade much more quickly than usual. The increased Emissary Grade boost only applies to catching Fish, not cooking.
Free Hunter's Call Emissary Flag
But what if you haven’t purchased the Hunter’s Call Emissary License yet? Don’t worry! During the Event, regardless of your Reputation Level or ownership of the License, you can vote to represent the Hunter’s Call and sail with the Hunter’s Call Emissary Flag. After the Event ends, you’ll need to purchase the Emissary License to represent the Hunter’s Call again if you don’t own it already.

Time-Limited Voyages
During the Event, you can embark on two unique, time-limited Voyages: A Hunter’s Rare Fishing Map and Merrick’s Recipe Request.
A Hunter's Rare Fishing Map
The Hunter’s Rare Fishing Map is a single-chapter Hunter’s Call Voyage that will have you catching 12 high-value Treasured Fish at three designated locations along the shoreline of a large island.
To find the Treasured Fish, you’ll follow a Fishing Map to a large island with three circles marked in the surrounding water. You’ll find a shoal of Treasured Fish at each circle waiting for you to catch.
Catch all four Treasured Fish at each shoal to complete the Voyage.

Merrick's Recipe Request
Merrick’s Recipe Request is a single-chapter Hunter’s Call Voyage that will have you collecting specific ingredients and selling them to Hunter’s Call representatives.
Once you start the Voyage, you will receive one Quest, Merrick’s Menu, with three dishes you must prepare: a Starter, Main Course, and Today’s Special. Each dish requires two different ingredients, from Chicken to a type of Fish.
Next to each ingredient required for the dish is a note about how many you need and how to prepare it. Depending on the request, you’ll need to hand in raw, cooked, or charred ingredients. All the ingredients you hand in for the Voyage are worth a significant amount more Gold and Reputation than their normal value.
As you hand in ingredients to the Hunter’s Call representative, you will see the counter next to it on the Quest go down. Once every ingredient has a zero next to it, you will complete the Voyage. Completing the Voyage will also earn you an additional bonus of 35,000 Gold and Reputation.
If the number of ingredients is not ticking down, ensure you’re handing in raw, cooked, or charred food, as Merrick requested.

Event Goals
During the Event, you can work on and complete five Event Goals. Completing a Goal will reward you with Gold and Hunter’s Call Reputation. Completing all five Goals will reward you with the Connoisseur of Culinary Craft Title! These are not Community Goals, so you’ll need to find and catch the required Fish!
Fishing Fanatic
Complete both Merrick’s Recipe Request and A Hunter’s Rare Fishing Map Voyage to complete this Goal and unlock the Courageous Catch Fishing Rod!
