The Fort of Fortune is one of the more demanding World Events the Sea of Thieves offers. While its highly lucrative vault deserves a worthy challenge, its difficulty could sometimes make the World Event a frustrating commitment for smaller crews.
With the latest overhaul to all the World Events, this is no longer the case! The Fort of Fortune now scales to the number of pirates participating in the World Event! So expect to see more crews of all sizes now taking on the fort for a chance to leave with its vault’s contents!
Below is a list of changes you will experience during your next fight at a Fort of Fortune!
Skeleton Wave Changes
For starters, the number of Skeletons that spawn for each wave is now based on the number of pirates fighting at the fort, making it easier for smaller crews to conquer the fort. In addition, the health of each Skeleton will also scale to the number of pirates.
That’s not all! Each wave will now have various Skeleton types to defeat. It’s even possible to fight every variant in one wave!
Skeleton Captain Changes
You can expect fewer Skeleton Captain waves during your fight at the Fort of Fortune. Unfortunately, this also means less Villainous Skulls.
Skeleton Lord Changes
Skeleton Lords are gone! Skeleton Captains have replaced the Skeleton Lords. So now, instead of fighting two waves of Skeleton Lords, you’ll fight two waves of Skeleton Captains. This change is huge and will significantly speed up the World Event.
Ashen Lord Changes
The Ashen Lord at the Fort of Fortune has been rebalanced similarly to the Ashen Lord World Event. You can expect his health and difficulty to scale based on the number of pirates at the fort. To see every change the Ashen Lord received, check out our dedicated article here!
Fort Changes
You can expect to find more fruit in barrels during your fight at the Fort of Fortune. You’ll also find an extra Ammo Crate and Weapon Chests around the fort to use.
Another change with how the fort itself works is the Cannon Skeletons will no longer respawn if your crew gets wiped out.
Reward Changes
Despite the difficulty of the Fort of Fortune scaling to crew size, the rewards inside the vault will remain the same for everyone.
While the treasure will not scale, everyone can find new pieces of loot inside the vault! The Fort of Fortune vault also contains a Chest of Fortune and a Humble or Generous Gift!
