The Trading Companies have increased their max Reputation Levels, added Distinctions, and refreshed their shops. But that’s not all! The Trading Companies have also updated their Emissary Quests to be quicker and yield more Gold! However, to take advantage of the spruced-up Emissary Quests, you must risk losing your Grade 5 Emissary Flag!
Changes to Emissary Quests
The most significant change to Emissary Quests in Season 11 is that you can no longer keep your Emissary Quest if you’ve lowered your Emissary Flag or lost your Emissary Flag from sinking. As soon as you no longer have a flag, the Trading Company will cancel your Emissary Quest, and you cannot retrieve any treasure from it.
To prevent you from accidentally losing your Emissary Quest, you will receive a warning before you lower your Emissary Flag at the Emissary Table.
Leaving your Emissary Flag raised while you work on completing your Emissary Quest introduces considerable risk. However, to compensate for the risk, the Trading Companies have also made it quicker for you to complete their Emissary Quests. You’ll be collecting fewer pieces of high-value treasure from a group of islands nearby. With less treasure to track down, you can finish Emissary Quests faster than ever before!
These high-value pieces of treasure can only be found during Emissary Quests, and they are some of the best pieces of treasure for each Trading Company. For example, you will find Dark and Corrupted Bounty Skulls during Order of Souls Voyages, including the challenging Raid Voyages. However, you can only find Vile and Vicious Bounty Skulls during the Order of Souls Emissary Quest.

Gold Hoarders
For the Gold Hoarders, the Emissary Quest used to give you four ‘X Marks, the Spot’ Maps with five Captain’s Chests each. In Season 11, the Gold Hoarder Emissary Quest provides you with four’ X Marks for the Spot’ Maps; however, two maps have Admiral’s Chests, and two have Baron’s Chests. While the Captain’s Chest is worth about 900 Gold, the Admiral’s Chest is about 1,500 Gold, and Baron’s Chest is about 2,000 Gold. The islands the maps are for are also single-island hops, reducing your sailing time.
Merchant Alliance
For the Merchant Alliance, the Emissary Quest used to give you two ‘Cargo’ Maps with ten Cargo Crates to deliver each. In Season 11, the Merchant Alliance Emissary Quest provides you with two ‘Cargo’ Maps; however, one map has two Cargo Crates to deliver, and the other has four Cargo Crates to deliver. While the previous Cargo Crates you delivered were worth about 700 Gold, the Season 11 Cargo Crates, such as the Crate of the Finest Rum and Elegant Cloth, are worth about 2,400 Gold. The pickup and drop-off locations are also closer, reducing your sailing time.
Order of Souls
For the Order of Souls, the Emissary Quest used to give you four ‘Bounty’ Maps with four Skeleton Captains, each of whom dropped Villainous Bounty Skulls. In Season 11, the Order of Souls Emissary Quest provides you with four ‘Bounty’ Maps; however, two maps have one Skeleton Captain, and two have three Skeleton Captains. These Skeleton Captains will drop Vile Bounty Skulls and Vicious Bounty Skulls. While the Villainous Skull is worth about 1,200 Gold, the Vile Bounty Skull is about 1,500 Gold, and the Vicious Bounty Skull is about 3,600 Gold. Like the Gold Hoarders Emissary Quest, the islands the maps are for are also single-island hops, reducing your sailing time.
Athena's Fortune
For the Athena’s Fortune, the Emissary Quest is similar to before. You will receive three maps: Bounty, Riddle, and X Marks the Spot. Like the other Emissary Quests, the islands the maps are for are single-island hops, reducing your sailing time. After you retrieve the Athena’s Fortune treasure from all three maps, you will receive a fourth map for an X Marks the Spot Map that leads to a Chest of Legends and a Keg of Ancient Black Powder. The fourth map for the Chest of Legends will always be on a small island.
The Devil's Roar
If you want to make even more Gold from your Emissary Quest, you can accept it in The Devil’s Roar! Once you have reached Emissary Grade 5, go to Morrow’s Peak Outpost and claim your Emissary Quest from the representative there. You’ll receive an Ashen variant of the Emissary Quest that will reward you with Ashen treasure worth more Gold and Reputation! You can quickly dive to Morrow’s Peak through the Shores of Gold Tall Tale to reach The Devil’s Roar. Just accept your Emissary Quest after you dive, not before!
