You need to find ten of Herman’s Notes during The Lair of LeChuck Tall Tale. While finding the notes is unnecessary to complete the Tall Tale, they are required to read so you can complete every commendation and earn the LeChuck’s Portrait trinket.
You can find all ten when you step foot on Monkey Island. However, you will need to locate the key for two of them that are locked away.
Banana peels mark each Herman’s Note location, so look for those during your search!
'No More Neighbours,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘No More Neighbours’ note on the south beach at the entrance to Herman’s Camp. It is sitting on a red rock just North of the lone banana tree.
'What Goes Around...,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘What Goes Around…’ note on the east beach by the shipwrecked Sea Monkey. It is sitting on a pile of long wood planks next to a couple of bottles.
'Helping Hands,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Helping Hands’ note on the North East beach. It is sitting on a large red rock to the right the dirt path that leads to Guybrush.
'Baiting the Trap,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Baiting the Trap’ note in the Supply Cache in the ravine. However, you’ll need to find the Supply Cache Key in one of the four wooden carvings to open the Supply Cache.
'Vandals!,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Vandals!’ note on the path with the Old Pocket Watch in the jungle. It is lying on the ground across from the Old Pocket Watch.
'A Dilemma,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘A Dilemma’ note by the large mast holding the Caged Monkey Idol to the West. It sits on some long wooden planks on the hill North of the mast.
'Cease Fire!,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Cease Fire!’ note in the Stockade at the crater. It is sitting on the table next to Herman’s book of recipes. You’ll need to find the Stockade Key to open the Stockade. You can find the key under the white rocks in the flooded crater or in the furniture above the crater.
'Enough is Enough,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Enough is Enough’ note on the path that leads to the zipline from the Stockade. It is sitting on a large red rock near the path.
'PLEASE READ,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘PLEASE READ’ note on the hill next to the Primitive Art on the island’s North side. It is sitting on the mountainside behind the Primitive Art.
'Here We Go Again,' by Herman Toothrot
You can find the ‘Here We Go Again’ note in the swamp near the hanging skeleton. It is sitting at the base of a large tree just South West of the hanging skeleton.
