A Pirate’s Life has five different Tall Tales, each with their own journals to find and read. Some Tall Tales have five journals to find, while others have up to ten!
Below you will find dedicated guides to finding each Tall Tale’s journals.
You will be traveling to the Sea of the Damned to collect these journals!
There are a total of ten journals you’ll need to find in this Tall Tale. You can locate all ten in Sailor’s Grave. Make sure you read all ten before placing the Cursed Captain’s skull back on his original body found in his ship in Sailor’s Grave!

There are a total of five journals you’ll need to find in this Tall Tale! You can locate two of the journals in the Spire and the other three in the Citadel.

You will be traveling to the Sea of the Damned to collect these journals!
There are a total of ten journals to find in this Tall Tale. The ten journals are divided evenly between two sets of journals. One set of five is the Lost Journals, and the other set of five is the Townsfolk’s Journals.
You will find the Lost Journals hidden across the bayou and the fort and the Townsfolk Journals in the town of Isla Tesoro.

Once entering the fortress ,after Captain Jack opens the door, hang a right and youll see a small shipwreck, the 1st journal is located on top. After leaving the shipwreck, youll head down a narrow tunnel, the 2nd journal is on the left on a white piece of coral. Further on, youll come to a room with a piece of wood controlled by a pulley, after crossing the wood jump, head right to find the 3rd journal on the coral instead of left for the laddder. The 4th journal is located in the organ room after boarding The Flying Dutchman. Number 5 is resting in an underwater cage after going through the doors from the previous area. In the same area, journal 6 is below the pulley system under a wooden platform with the ladder on it. After reaching the top and exiting the massive cavern, youll drop down into a new area where enemies will fight you. After dispatching of them, the 7th journal will be resting in a yellow set of coral towards the left of this room. Moving further in, youll come to a vertical tunnel where you have to solve a siren statue puzzle to raise the water, once the water is risen, the 8th journal is at the top of this room resting in a dark piece of coral. The last two journals are located in the Dark Brethren Court. Number 9 is located against the right wall of the ramp leading into the court. The 10th is resting aside the warsmiths chair at the central table.
