As you fight for your chosen Faction, you will earn Allegiance to that Faction. With that Allegiance, you will unlock Faction-exclusive cosmetics. But what about gold? Yes, claiming victory in any skirmish against the opposing Faction will earn you gold in the form of Hourglass Value. However, the gold is only yours to keep if you can make it to an Outpost to cash out before sinking!
Hourglass Value
You can only earn Hourglass Value after pledging your Allegiance to the Guardians of Fortune or Servants of the Flame. Once you have chosen your Faction, you can raise your Hourglass Value by sinking ships representing the opposing Faction.
So, if you are a Guardian of Fortune, you can sink a Servant of the Flame ship to earn Hourglass Value. Likewise, if you are a Servant of the Flame, you can sink a Guardian of Fortune to earn Hourglass Value.
Other than ships that have reached Champion status, every ship is worth the same amount. However, you can increase the Hourglass Value you earn from an opponent by raising your Streak!

Streaks
A Streak acts as a multiplier to the Hourglass Value you earn from sinking an opponent. The higher your Streak, the higher the multiplier. You can raise your Streak by consecutively defeating rival ships without sinking or leaving your Faction at an Outpost.
You will see your Streak increase each time you sink a rival ship.

Emissaries
You can also earn extra Hourglass Value for sailing and sinking ships as an Emissary. For example, suppose you vote to raise your Emissary for The Reaper’s Bones and join the Servants of the Flame. The higher your Emissary Grade, the more your Hourglass of Fate will be worth when you leave your Faction.
The same goes for Athena’s Fortune and the Guardians of Fortune!

Which are the values of the hourglass of fate?
You can see your Hourglass Value when you look at the Hourglass of Fate on your ship. It has a little gold icon next to the number.
