Using the stealth mechanic of Disguises, you can blend in with your environment depending on the situation. If you want to sneak aboard another pirate’s ship, you can conceal yourself in their pile of loot by looking like one of their treasure chests. Or, if you want to ambush a crew looking to sell at an Outpost, you can try going unnoticed as Resource Barrel by a turn-in point.
How to look like a Chest and Barrel
To Disguise yourself as a Chest or Barrel, simply Crouch and then pull up your Disguise Radial. While Crouched, the Disguise Radial will replace your Item Radial.
Once you can see your wheel of Disguises, select one of the Chests or Barrel you have available. As soon as you choose one, you will turn into that object. While in Disguise, unlike Emotes, you can move around, allowing you to place yourself for the perfect surprise!
Every pirate automatically has access to the Sailor’s Chest Disguise and Barrel Disguise. If you want to look like other chests, you can unlock them by completing specific commendations. Once unlocked, you can purchase them at any Clothing Shop and equip them with any Vanity Chest.
