One of the many commendations you can complete during The Quest for Guybrush Tall Tale is the ‘The Beast Whisperer’ commendation. You can start working on the commendation after you persuade Stan to tell you who owns the Headless Monkey.

If you are just looking to complete ‘The Beast Whisperer’ and tickle The Beast, your first step is to convince Stan to tell you who owns the Headless Monkey.
The Beast Whisperer Commendation
To complete The Beast Whisperer commendation and tickle The Beast, you’ll need to tame, pick it up, and interact with The Beast. However, before you can do that, you’ll first need to persuade Stan to tell you who owns the Headless Monkey. After discovering that Meathook holds its Bill of Sale, speak with Meathook and help him capture The Beast.
Speak with Stan
Head to Stan’s Previously Owned Vessels and speak with Stan in front of his office. After he finishes talking, ask him about the four vessels around his shipyard. You’ll need to interact with the white wooden sign next to the Grog Rowboat, The Vociferous Carmichael, The Black Pearl, and The Headless Monkey.
After you ask about the different vessels, talk to him again in front of his office and ask him about pricing and then ask him about who owns the Headless Monkey.
After discovering it is Meathook on Hook Island, you can work on acquiring the Bill of Sale for the Headless Monkey.
Speak with Meathook
Go to Hook Island and speak with Meathook. Tell him you are there for the Headless Monkey. He will then ask you for help capturing The Beast and give you the Bill of Sale in return. However, you’ll need to repair its cage before you can catch it.
Repair The Beast's Cage
Do as Meathook asks to restore the cage. You’ll first need to remove five broken cutlasses from around the cage to fix it. Then, repair it with Wooden Planks, which you can find on the side of his house.
The lever for the cage also needs to be fixed. You can find a suitable lever replacement in the Forest on the island’s East side. Look for the Rare Mop Tree Sapling and interact with it to break off a Mop Tree Stick. Go back to the lever and repair it with the stick.
Tame The Beast
After you repair the cage, find his Concentrated Banana Grease. Once you do, Meathook will tell you to look for a scrap of music. If you pick up this scrap music, you will learn a new Shanty to tame The Beast.
Look under Meathook’s pillow on his bed, and you will find the scrap music. Pick it up to learn the Shanty, ‘Summon The Beast.’
Now that you know the Shanty, head outside, walk through the forest, and climb up the mountain behind Meathook’s house. Once you reach The Beast’s lair, equip any instrument, select the Shanty’ Summon The Beast’, and start to play.
Play your instrument until a music queue plays and The Beast reveals itself. The Beast will then hop down so you can bravely pick it up.
Tickle The Beast
Now that you have The Beast, it’s time to tickle it! While holding The Beast, use your Primary Use button to tickle it.
