Running, jumping, and flying can only get you so far in the Sea of Thieves! If you want to sneak aboard ships, steal treasure, or avoid detection, you’ll want to take advantage of your ability to Crouch! While Crouched, you can slowly creep behind enemies, allowing you to take your pirate escapades to the next level!
How to Crouch
You can Crouch by pressing the Right Stick on the Controller or the Control Key on the Keyboard. You will stay Crouched until you press the corresponding button or key again. In the Settings, you can set the Crouch ability to another button, similar to other actions.
Crouching allows you to perform a variety of stealth mechanics, such as hiding your Nameplate, using Disguises, Hanging from Ledges, and Disarming Traps. To learn all about what you can do while Crouching, head over to our dedicated guide here!
