Flamheart has imprisoned the missing traders of Golden Sands Outpost in the six Sea Forts across the Sea of Thieves. Guarding the Prison Cell that confines the traders is a Phantom Jailor. These Phantom Jailors carry a Prison Cell Key that can open then Prison Cell and free the traders from Flameheart’s clutches! Without the key the Phantom Jailors protect, you will not be able to liberate the poor souls trapped inside the Prison Cell.
Where to find Phantom Jailors
You can find a Phantom Jailor on any active Sea Fort. The Phantom Jailor is guaranteed to spawn with the rest of the Phantoms that defend an active Sea Fort.
You also don’t need to be doing the Adventure to find a Phantom Jailor. Phantom Jailors are at active Sea Forts regardless of whether you are on the Adventure.
You can tell if a Sea Fort is active if it has raised flags and glows ghostly green. Active Sea Forts also have two Phantom Reaper Ships docked nearby.
Once you have found an active Sea Fort, sail to it and step onto the fortress. Once on the Sea Fort, look for a Phantom with an orange title above its head: Phantom Jailor.
The Phantom Jailor has more health than standard Phantoms. Upon death, a Phantom Jailor will drop a Prison Cell Key. You can use this key to open the Prison Cell on the bottom floor of the Sea Fort.
