The Smugglers’ League has a wide assortment of unique treasures that you can help deliver across the Sea of Thieves. Some of these special pieces of cargo are Exquisite Paintings.
Each Exquisite Painting you find and successfully sell to the Smugglers’ League will count toward the Exporter of Exquisite Paintings Commendation. Completing that Commendation as well as several related Commendations will unlock unique Smugglers’ League Trinkets for you to adorn on your very own vessel!
Exquisite Painting
You can randomly find Exquisite Paintings in Smugglers’ Caches, Smugglers’ Shipwrecks, emergent Smuggling Skeleton Ships, and Smugglers’ Messages in Bottles. Exquisite Paintings are not guaranteed to be in any location except for Smugglers’ Messages in Bottles, so you’ll want to check each Cache, Shipwreck, and emergent Skeleton Ship you come across to find them.
Smugglers’ Caches are stashes of Smugglers’ League treasure you can randomly find on the beaches of small and large islands.
Unlike Black Powder Barrels and Crates of Rum, Exquisite Paintings do not take damage, so you don’t need to be too careful with them.
Sell an Exquisite Painting to the Smugglers’ League to progress the Exporter of Exquisite Paintings Commendation.
You should also find Classic Paintings in Smugglers’ Caches, Shipwrecks, and emergent Skeleton Ships. However, if you are looking for Refined Paintings, you’ll need to embark on the Smugglers’ Route Run, as they are exclusive to that Voyage.
