The Smugglers’ League has a wide assortment of unique treasures that you can help deliver across the Sea of Thieves. One of these special pieces of cargo is the Crate of Golden Greed Rum.
Each Crate of Golden Greed Rum you find and successfully sell to the Smugglers’ League will count toward the Gatherer of Golden Greed Commendation. Completing that Commendation as well as several related Commendations will unlock unique Smugglers’ League Trinkets for you to adorn on your very own vessel!
Crate of Golden Greed Rum
You can randomly find Crates of Golden Greed Rum in Smugglers’ Caches, Smugglers’ Shipwrecks, emergent Smuggling Skeleton Ships, and Smugglers’ Messages in Bottles. Crates of Golden Greed Rum are not guaranteed to be in any location except Smugglers’ Messages in Bottles, so you’ll want to check each Cache and Shipwreck you come across to find them.
Smugglers’ Caches are stashes of Smugglers’ League treasure you can randomly find on the beaches of small and large islands.
Like all Crates of Rum, Crates of Golden Greed Rum can take damage from weapons, Cannonballs, and explosions. Most importantly, they can take fall damage, even when you are holding them.
When you deliver the Crates of Rum to the Smugglers’ League, you’ll need to make sure you don’t jump or fall a great distance while holding them.
Sell a Crate of Golden Greed Rum in perfect condition to the Smugglers’ League to progress the Gatherer of Golden Greed Commendation.
You should also find Crates of Floral Fate Rum in Smugglers’ Caches and Shipwrecks. However, if you are looking for Crates of Dark Demise Rum, you’ll need to embark on the Smugglers’ Route Run, as they are exclusive to that Voyage.
