You’ll be searching for more than keys and paintings as you rummage through Royal Crest Fortress. As you partake in The Smugglers’ Heist Voyage, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for a journal left by the Servant of the Flame.
Servant of the Flame's Journal
You can find the Servant’s Journal on the third floor of Royal Crest Fortress. It is lying on a table with a shrine dedicated to Captain Flameheart. However, making your way inside the fortress could be difficult as it is locked and requires a special key that you can only acquire during The Smugglers’ Heist Voyage.
To get the key, you must start The Smugglers’ Heist Voyage by interacting with the note on your ship’s main mast. If the Voyage just started, you will receive a Quest directing you to collect the key from one of the six Smugglers’ League Representatives. If another crew has already progressed the Voyage to a later Chapter, you can head to the fortress, as it will already be open, or the crew with the key is about to open it.
Once inside, make your way up the stairs to the third floor. You’ll find the journal sitting on the table with the Captain Flameheart shrine. Read the journal to unlock the Reaper’s Revelations Commendation.

The contents of the journal reads as follows:
The soldiers of the fleet have been dismissed, and I have secured this stronghold for my father. Not for silver, gold or petty trinkets, but for the true treasure hidden in the vanity of the paintings collected.
