During your raid of the Dark Fortress, you will encounter a locked prison cell, the Dark Cell. Opening the Dark Cell and plundering its treasure is not required to complete the Raid on a Dark Fortress Voyage, so it is easy to miss. To access the cell, you must hunt down and find the hidden Dark Cell Key somewhere on the Sea Fort!
Dark Cell Key
The Dark Cell Key is inside any of the many objects you can interact with at the Sea Fort, including the cabinets, cupboards, and crates. It can spawn on any floor of the Sea Fort as well.
You’ll want to remember to check outside! You may also find the key in one of the wooden crates there.
Some of the most forgotten places to check for the key are the cupboards inside the turrets surrounding the Sea Fort and the footlocker inside the turret at the top of the Sea Fort.
Once you find the Dark Cell Key, you can take it back down to the bottom floor of the Sea Fort and open the Dark Cell. You’ll discover Chests of Ancient Tribute and Gold Piles to collect inside.
Dark Treasury Cell Key
If you’ve opened the Fortress Treasury, you will notice another locked cell. To open that cell, you must acquire the Dark Treasury Cell Key. You will naturally find that key as you progress the Voyage until you face off against the Phantom Jailor. Upon defeating the Phantom Jailor, you will receive the key.
