As there are very few reasons to sail to Molten Sands Fortress during your adventures at sea, it is easy to understand why you might not know where to find the fortress. Well, during the Molten Sands Fortress Event during Season 18, you’ll definitely want to know its heading, so you can take on the World Event there and plunder the valuable Orb of the Banished!
Molten Sands Fortress
You can find Molten Sands Fortress at the map coordinates Z11 on your Map Table. The island is in the far North East corner of The Devil’s Roar.
While there is a slight chance for a Skeleton Fort to take place on the fortress, you can activate the Molten Sands Fortress World Event yourself during Season 18 with the Molten Sands Key!
To get the Molten Sands Key, you must complete a time-limited Emissary Quest from any Trading Company. Reaching Emissary Grade V with a Trading Company during Act 2 of Season 18 will allow you to claim the time-limited Emissary Quest from any Representative.
The Emissary Quest will direct you to a large island with a unique Eternal Guard. Taking down the Eternal Guard will reward you with a Molten Sands Key.
You can sell the key to any Trading Company or take it to Molten Sands Fortress to activate the World Event.
Once on the fortress, head to the center near the entrance to the tunnel that leads to the Vault. There you will find an ancient altar. Light the four Torches around the altar to reveal a lock. Place the Molten Sands Key in the lock in the middle of the altar to activate the World Event.
You’ll then need to take on eight waves of Skeletons before you can open the Vault and plunder all the treasure inside!
