Daring crews who take on Skeleton Fort World Events during the Mega Stashes Event can find Vaults overflowing with Ashen Chests of Legends! But beware, only the luckiest pirates will stumble upon the elusive Ashen Mega Stashes!
What is the Mega Stashes Event?
During the Mega Stashes Event, you can find fifteen Ashen Chests of Legends and six Gold Piles in the Vaults of active Skeleton Forts and Forts of Fortune. However, not every Vault you open will have a Mega Stash inside.
Each Vault has a slight chance of holding a Mega Stash with the Ashen Chests of Legends. Since the Skeletons that inhabit the Skeleton Forts have reinforced the floors above each Vault, blocking the cracks that allowed you to see the treasure below, you’ll need to clear the Fort and open the Vault before finding out if a Mega Stash is inside. When you open the Vault, you’ll find the hoard of Ashen Chests of Legends or the usual pile of loot you would receive.
It is important to note that emergent Forts you sail to will have a higher chance of rewarding you with a Mega Stash than On-Demand Skeleton Forts you dive to through your Quest Table. And while you can find them in Skeleton Forts and Forts of Fortunes, you cannot find Mega Stashes in the Vaults of a Fort of the Damned.
Don’t worry about missing Chests of Fortune. If you find a Mega Stash at a Fort of Fortune, the chest will still be amongst the loot pile.
Mega Stash Event Rewards
The Mega Stashes Event also has a time-limited cosmetic for you to earn. Defeating five Skeleton Forts during the Event will reward you with the Stash Seeker’s Moustache! Just ensure you are on the island when your crew or another crew opens the Vault of the Fort to receive credit for completing the Fort. The Skeleton Fort you defeat doesn’t need to have a Mega Stash inside for you to receive credit.
Like other Sea of Thieves Events, you must be sailing the High Seas to find the Mega Stashes and unlock the reward.
How long is the Mega Stashes Event?
The Mega Stashes Event runs from Thursday, April 17th to Thursday, April 24th.
