Scattered throughout the Sea of Thieves are hundreds of Mysterious Journals. You’ll want to discover these journals and interact with them in the hopes that you’ll receive a contract to deliver a Fruit Crate so you can complete the Merchant Forager Achievement. They might even give you a contract to ferry a Gunpowder Barrel for the Black Powder Merchant Achievement.
To see where you can find a Mysterious Journal, you can visit your handy interactive map to see where each can appear.
Mysterious Journals have a random chance of appearing, so each location isn’t guaranteed to have one. If they spawn, they will be in the marked area near landmarks, Resource Barrels, boulders, cooking spots, and other minor Points of Interest.
