Pirates have been whispering at Outposts that a new type of Message in a Bottle has made its way to the Sea of Thieves. These Legendary Messages in Bottles contain special Quests that will always lead pirates to Athena’s Fortune treasure!
So, the next time you are out at sea and spot a purple glint on a shoreline, stop what you are doing and collect the Legendary Message in a Bottle to find the expensive Athena’s Fortune treasure that awaits you!
Legendary Message in a Bottle
Legendary Messages in Bottles are purple bottles that can appear randomly in shipwrecks and on the shores of any island in the High Seas. You cannot find Legendary Messages in a Bottle in Safer Seas.
The Legendary Messages in Bottles glint bright purple from a distance, making them easy to spot as you sail by islands or explore shorelines.
You don’t need to be a Pirate Legend to see or find one. Any pirate of any experience can collect a Legendary Message in a Bottle.
Each Legendary Message in a Bottle contains an “X Marks the Spot” Quest. However, unlike regular Messages in Bottles, the Legendary Message in a Bottle “X Marks the Spot” Quest will always lead you to Athena’s Fortune treasure!
If you are sailing as an Athena’s Fortune Emissary, you will earn a large amount of Emissary Level each time you pick up a Legendary message in a Bottle. Picking up just three will allow you to reach Emissary Grade 5.
What treasure can you find?
The ‘X Marks the Spot’ Quest you receive from a Legendary Message in a Bottle will lead you to the following Athena’s Fortune treasure:
- Chest of Legends
- Ashen Chest of Legends
- Keg of Ancient Black Powder
- Skull of Ancient Fortune
- Chalice of Ancient Fortune
- Jar of Incense
- Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune
- Gilded Relic of Ancient Fortune
- Offering of Legendary Goods
- Legendary Fortune Keeper
- Artifact of Legendary Hunger
- Athena’s Relic
