Everyone’s favorite Sea of Thieves holiday, the Festival of Giving, is back and better than ever! As expected, there are cosmetics to earn, Twitch Drops to acquire, and a yearly Gilded Voyage to claim! So grab your crew, start your Gilded Voyage, and set sail to partake in all the festivities!
What is a Gilded Voyage
Gilded Voyages are highly lucrative voyages you can acquire once a year during the Festival of Giving. While there have been four versions of the voyage in the past, there are only two versions this year.
The two types of Gilded Voyages are a Gilded Treasure Voyage for pirates who have yet to reach Pirate Legend and a Gilded Legendary Voyage for Pirate Legends. If you are a Pirate Legend, you’ll receive both!
You will only receive these voyages once this year, so you’ll want to ensure you have enough time to complete it before voting and starting it.
How do you get a Gilded Voyage
To receive your Gilded Voyage, set sail from December 23rd, 2022, 10 am UTC – December 26th, 2022, 10 am UTC. As soon as you set foot in the Sea of Thieves, you will automatically have the voyage in your Voyage Inventory.
Gilded Treasure Voyage
The Gilded Treasure Voyage consists of eight X Marks the Spot Quests, each containing three to eight Captain’s Chests to uncover. The X Marks the Spot Quests will take you to large and small islands in all three original regions.
Gilded Legendary Voyage
This year’s Gilded Legendary Voyage is an Athena’s Fortune Voyage consisting of two Chapters. However, instead of having the opportunity to dig up one Chest of Legends during the second Chapter, you will have the chance to dig up three!

If you accidently got rid of your gilded treasure voyage, is there any way to get it back? this seems like a lot of fun but I got rid of it as I thought it was a tutorial voyage that would be boring.
No unfortunately 🙁 You could try to make a support ticket but it is highly unlikely they will be able to help restore it.
It’s just regular emissary 5 voyages. You are not missing out on anything, you can already have them in game at anytime by leveling up your flag to lvl 5 and speaking with the NPC guy of your emissary to get the same quests.
Gold Hoarders emissary voyage only gives 4 maps, while the athena emissary voyage only gives athena loot, it is not a commission ending with 3 chest of legends
