The Festival of Giving has returned once more to the Sea of Thieves! That means there are cosmetics to unlock, rewards to earn, a shared Community Goal to partake in, and more! So put on your jolliest outfit, your most festive ship set, and set sail to celebrate!
What is the Festival of Giving Event?
During the Festival of Giving, you can claim a unique login bonus, unlock an event-exclusive cosmetic by contributing to a Community Goal, complete daily lucrative Voyages, and take advantage of boosted rewards for Trading Companies.
Frosted Present Flag
To claim the login bonus, the Frosted Present Flag, you must set sail anytime during the Event. As soon as you step foot in the Sea of Thieves, the Flag will be in your Ship Flag Box, ready to be equipped.
Starburst Drum
To unlock the reward from the Community Goal, you must sell at least one piece of treasure to any Trading Company during the Event. If you and the other pirates sailing the sea during the Event hand in enough treasure to complete the Community Goal, everyone who contributed will receive the Starbust Drum. You can still turn in treasure to receive the reward even after everyone else completes the Community Goal as long as it is during the Event.
Gilded Voyages and Voyages of Luck
On top of the cosmetics you can unlock during the Event, you can also claim a Voyage of Luck and a Company-themed Gilded Voyage each day of the Event. The Gilded Voyage will alternate through one of the four Trading Companies daily: the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, and Athena’s Fortune.
Remember, you must complete your Voyage of Luck and Gilded Voyage within 24 hours, as they won’t stack or carry over to the next day!
Boosted Rewards
You can also receive double Gold and Reputation for a different Trading Company daily. The boost will alternate between being for one of the four Trading Companies, matching the Gilded Voyage’s Trading Company. So, across the 12-day Event, each Trading Company will have three days with increased rewards.
- The Gold Hoarder boost will be on December 18th, 22nd, and 26th.
- The Order of Souls boost will be on December 19th, 23, and 27th.
- The Merchant Alliance boost will be on December 20th, 24th, and 28th.
- And the Athena’s Fortune boost will be on December 21, 25th, and 29th.
How long is the Festival of Giving Event?
The Festival of Giving Event will be active from December 18th (10:00 AM UTC) to December 30th (10:00 AM UTC).

I’ve signed in on Christmas. No voyages available to me. It says till the 30th. Hope I can get something.
