As you are a pirate, it’s understandable that you have taken all that you can and given nothing back. Well, now that the Festival of Giving is upon us, you have a reason to pay back your fellow pirates who have helped fund your many adventures throughout the year.

During the Festival of Giving, you can spread some holiday cheer by giving your treasure to other pirate crews. Not only will you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but you can also earn unique rewards and extra gold for your generosity!

To partake in the festivities, you’ll first want to grab a Festival of Giving Event Flag from Larinna. Then, gather some treasure and find crews to share your loot with as you sail the sea!

What is the Festival of Giving Event?

During the Festival of Giving, the Bilge Rats will be keeping track of the treasure you’ve gifted to other crews. The more of your loot turned in by other crews, the more Wreath of Winter cosmetics you’ll earn!

On top of the festive cosmetics, you can also earn extra gold! Each day during the event, you will be awarded 5000 gold per item for the first five items sold by other crews. That’s up to 350,000 gold you can earn if you gift at least five pieces a day throughout the event!

What are the Festival of Giving rewards?

If you participate in the Festival of Giving, you can earn yourself three different Wreath of Winter cosmetics as well as the event-exclusive Glorious Gift-Giver Title!

If another crew hands in five pieces of your crew’s treasure, you will earn the Wreath of Winter Tattoo.

If another crew hands in ten pieces of your crew’s treasure, you will earn the Wreath of Winter Makeup.

If another crew hands in 25 pieces of your crew’s treasure, you will earn the Wreath of Winter Bucket.

And finally, if another crew hands in 50 pieces of your crew’s treasure, you will earn the Glorious Gift-Giver Title.

How long is the Festival of Giving Event?

The Festival of Giving event runs from December 13th to December 27th. That gives you about two weeks to earn all the possible rewards!

How to Gift Treasure

To successfully gift treasure, another crew in your session needs to sell a piece of treasure first owned by you. As long as your crew was the first one to touch, discover, or pick up the piece of treasure, you can gift it to another crew.

Make sure you are sailing the sea in the same session as the other crew while they are selling your treasure. You cannot leave before the other crew sells and still get credit.

You can give the treasure to another crew, or another crew can take it from you. So if you happen to have your treasure stolen from you, it’s not all lost. You will receive 5000 gold for the first five pieces sold by the other crew and progress towards the Wreath of Winter cosmetics.

Unfortunately, your buried treasure will not count towards the number of treasures you have gifted. After you bury a piece of treasure, you will lose ownership, and it will belong to whoever digs it up. Therefore, you need to transfer treasure to another crew above the dirt to gift it.
