One of the many quest types you can experience during the Legend of the Veil voyage is the Lying Map Quest. The Lying Map Quest is a puzzle-focused quest that will test your knowledge of the rock paintings found around the islands in the Sea of Thieves. One island a Lying Map Quest can send you to is Discovery Ridge.

Discovery Ridge Lying Map Quest

If your Lying Map Quest is for Discovery Ridge, your Quest Book will have a two-page map depicting a top-down view of Discovery Ridge with Ancient symbols drawn on it. The locations of the symbols on the map should match the locations of actual rocking paintings on the island. However, one of the symbols is a lie and not really on the island.

To complete the quest, you will need to search Discovery Ridge for the symbols on your map. As you explore, you will eventually find a rock painting that doesn’t match its symbol.

When you do, start digging in front of the rock painting. If you have found the right spot, you will dig up an Ancient Chest with the Veil Stone inside and complete the quest.

Below you will find images showing what rock painting should be at each symbol’s location.

Ancient

This rock painting is on the North West beach of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than an Ancient, dig in front of this rock painting.

Mermaid Gatekeepers

This rock painting is on the North West beach of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than two mermaids, dig in front of this rock painting.

Twin Fish

This rock painting is on the North West side of the island near the river stream. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than two fish, dig in front of this rock painting.

Wrath of the Siren

This rock painting is near the center of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than a mermaid, dig in front of this rock painting.

Worship

This rock painting is near the center of the island, just West of the river stream. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than three figures, dig in front of this rock painting.

Seahorse

This rock painting is on the West beach of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than a seahorse, dig in front of this rock painting.

Seahorses

This rock painting is on the West side of the island, in the narrow crevasse. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than seahorses, dig in front of this rock painting.

In this variation of the Discovery Ridge Lying Map Quest, the location of the seahorses was the dig site since the map had a Crab symbol.

Felled Pirate

This rock painting is on the West side of the island, in the narrow crevasse. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than a circled Ancient, dig in front of this rock painting.

Mermaid Savior

This rock painting is high up on the West side of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than a mermaid, dig in front of this rock painting.

Shark

This rock painting is on the West side of the island. If your Lying Map Quest has anything at this location other than a shark, dig in front of this rock painting.
