The Fort of the Damned is one of the most infamous World Events in the Sea of Thieves. Its overflowing vault of precious loot has long enticed pirates to engage with the World Event and claim victory over all its spoils.

Can you start the Fort of the Damned in Safer Seas?

You cannot start the Fort of the Damned in Safer Seas. As it isn’t possible to acquire the pink Flame of Fate or find a Ritual Skull in Safer Seas, you can’t light every statue or place a skull to begin the Fort of the Damned.

The Fort of the Damned also contains Athena’s Fortune treasure and Reaper’s Bones treasure which are not available in Safer Seas, making the Fort of the Damned less impactful.

And, of course, as a beacon of intense battles amongst treasure-hungry crews, it doesn’t make much sense to make the Fort of the Damnd available in Safer Seas without any potential opponents to compete against.
