Every pirate hopes for a little bit of luck while out at sea! Whether you are hunting the elusive Shrouded Ghost or sneaking onto an enemy ship without being seen, luck can be all the difference. Lucky for you, with the Voyage of Luck, you can be lucky at least once every month!
A Voyage of Luck
The Voyage of Luck is a single-use, time-limited ‘X Marks the Spot’ Quest awarded to all pirates each monthly update. Each Quest will lead you to a piece of high-value treasure, such as a Chest of Fortune or Reaper’s Bounty Chest on a nearby small island.
If you are a Pirate Legend, you will instead receive the Legendary Voyage of Luck each month, which leads you to high-value Athena’s Fortune treasure. Legendary Voyages of Luck also have a higher chance of rewarding you with a Box of Wondrous Secrets or Chest of Fortune.
You can find your Voyage of Luck through your Quest Table in the Limited Voyages section. Pirate Legends will see the Legendary Voyage of Luck. You will have until the next monthly update to complete it.
So, what’s so lucky about the Voyage of Luck? While luck is involved in what treasure you’ll find, luck also plays a role in the variant of the Voyage you receive! Some extremely fortunate pirates will receive a gold-trimmed ‘X-Marks the Spot’ Quest, the Golden Map, with up to fifteen buried treasures for you to dig up!
Golden Map
A Golden Map is a special gold-trimmed ‘X Marks the Spot’ Quest with up to 15 X’s on it. A Golden Map will always reward you with a Box of Wondrous Secrets, a Chest of Fortune, a Reaper’s Bounty, a Reaper’s Chest, and other high-value treasures.
While the exact odds of getting a Golden Map are unknown, we do know they are rare but attainable, with a slight but encouraging chance of receiving one. A Golden Map is nowhere near as rare as a Shrouded Ghost, so you’ll want to check back monthly to see if you were lucky enough to acquire one!
You can receive a Golden Map for either the Voyage of Luck or Legendary Voyage of Luck.
