The Hunter’s Call has been busy tracking the whereabouts of highly sought-after fish across the Sea of Thieves. They’ve charted the locations and are asking any angler up to the task to follow their maps and catch these prized fish!

What is the Pirate's Fishing Map Voyage?

The Pirate’s Fishing Map is a single-chapter Hunter’s Call Voyage that will have you catching three Treasured Fish at a designated location along the shoreline of a small island.

To find the Treasured Fish, you’ll follow a Fishing Map to a small island with a circle marked in the surrounding water. You’ll find a shoal of Treasured Fish at the circle waiting for you to catch.

Catch all three Treasured Fish in the shoal to complete the Voyage.

Treasured Fish

Treasured Fish are unique and highly valuable variants of the current species of Fish. However, you can only catch Treasured Fish during the Fishing Map Voyage. You cannot find them emergently like other Fish in the Sea of Thieves.

Treasured Fish are slightly larger than Trophy Fish and have distinct characteristics. Unlike regular Fish and Trophy Fish, you cannot store, cook, or eat Treasured Fish as they act similarly to pieces of treasure like Chests and Skulls.

Instead of storing the Treasured Fish in your Inventory, Crates, or Resource Barrels, you can drop them down and pick them up. Since you can drop Treasured Fish, other pirates can steal them, so you’ll want to be mindful of where you place your Treasured Fish between catching and selling them.

You also don’t need any Bait to catch Treasured Fish, so you can cast away without preparing your Fishing Rod.

Like Fish and Trophy Fish, you can sell Treasured Fish to the Hunter’s Call for Gold and Hunter’s Call Reputation.

How do you start the Pirate's Fishing Map Voyage?

To start the Pirate’s Fishing Map Voyage, go to your Quest Table, choose Voyages, and then select the Hunter’s Call Trading Company. Under Fishing Voyages, you’ll see A Pirate’s Fishing Map. You don’t need to unlock the Voyage like the Hunter’s Fishing Map Voyage or Raid Voyages.

A Pirate's Fishing Map: Step by Step

Step 1: Start the Voyage

Vote on the Voyage from your Quest Table to start the A Pirate’s Fishing Map Voyage. You can either Sail or Dive to the Voyage.

Once you’ve voted for and started A Pirate’s Fishing Map Voyage, you will receive one Quest, a Fishing Map. You can open the Fishing Map from your Quest Radial.

Once you have the Fishing Map equipped, you will see one small island with a circle marked in the water nearby. You’ll find the shoal with the three Treasured Fish you must catch at the circle.

Step 2: Sail or Dive to the island

The small island will be nearby if you voted to Sail to the Voyage. If you vote to Dive, you will emerge in front of a random small island after traveling beneath the waves.

Step 3: Catch three Treasured Fish

Once you have arrived at the small island, check your Fishing Map for the circle’s location to see which side of the island you should search. As you approach the circle, scan the top of the water for a disturbance. The exact location of the shoal is at the misty circle of splashing water.

Stop your ship near the shoal, giving yourself room to cast your Fishing Rod into it. You should be able to see the three Treasured Fish you need to catch. Don’t worry if one escapes while you try to catch it. It will return to the shoal so you can try again. You can’t fail the Voyage.

You can expect to catch Treasured Spashtails, Islehoppers, Plentifins, Wildspashes, and Battlegills.

After you catch the third Treasured Fish, you will complete the Voyage. You can vote to start another or head to the closest Outpost or Seapost to sell your Treasured Fish.
