The Reaper Fortress World Event is one of the more challenging World Events in the Sea of Thieves! Luckily, each fortress has a Weapon Cache filled with extra resources, tools, and weapons for you to use against any formidable foes in your way. However, you’ll need to acquire a unique key before you can crack it open and wield the extra firepower held inside.
How to unlock the Weapon Cache
To unlock the Weapon Cache, you must unlock it with a Skull of Arms. You can only acquire a Skull of Arms from defeating a Master of Arms during the Reaper Fortress World Event. The Master of Arms is a Skeleton Captain that appears on the eighth wave of the Reaper Fortress World Event. Upon defeat, the Master of Arms will drop a Skull of Arms.
Once you have the Skull of Arms, you can place it on a headless Skeleton near the Weapon Cache to unlock and open the door to the cache.
Opening the Weapon Cache will reward you with a guaranteed Black Powder Barrel and a Storage Crate filled with Cannonballs, Wooden Planks, and Food. You also have a chance of finding the following items:
- Firebomb Crate
- Storage Crate filled with more Cannonballs, Wooden Planks, and Food
- Storage Crate filled with Bone Callers, Firebombs, and Blunderbombs
- Cannonball Storage Crate of the Damned
- Horn of Fair Winds
- Skull of Siren Sorrow
- Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull
If you are at an emergent Reaper Fortress, you can also find a Cannon of Rage and Trident of Dark Tides.
Crasher of Caches
Unlocking a Weapon Cache with a Skull of Arms three times will complete the Crasher of Caches Commendation. You can then use the Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull and Skull of Siren Sorrow inside to work on the Phantom Flame and Skeletal Sorrow Commendations.
Farewell to Arms
After you complete the Crasher of Caches Commendation by opening enough Weapon Caches, you will want to sell the Skull of Arms to complete the Farewell to Arms Commendation. You can sell the Skull of Arms to the Smugglers’ League.
